Brother hajji has been at it a long time. He is the one who also started rumours that umra visa has started on 17 March.

I think he is a freelance acting on behalf of a few umra agents and trying to market their package on this forum.

Members of this forum and others must ensure that they book with registered and licensed agents for the tour because the Saudi Government has placed quite a lot of restrictions on mutamirs entering Saudi Arabia for Umra.

Further, brother hajji is offering a side trip to Jerusalem which makes it even more crucial that you make absolutely sure of the credibility of the group/agent you book your trip with.

This brother hasn't even got a company address to give his customers - not even on his own website. Are we meant to rely on his mobile number for assurances which he can change any time???????? I would book through an established agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a question that has arisen regarding zam zam water being sent to uk. It has been brought to my atention that if you go with a group and cargo your zam zam water,the water in actual fact is ordered through agents in the uk whom have gained the water NOT from saudi but elsewhere,, ie the water is not zam zam.

anyone any comments on this?

Not quite correct.

There are agents who will export the goods on your behalf such as salah mats, dates and zam zam water. The proof of that is to mark the water cans and check when they arrive here.

You don't have to travel in a group to export your goods that way. You can be travelling alone or with friends or family. You need to check out the agents or look up the Saudi phone directory for export agents. A couple of them have offices on Shahrah Mansoor in Makka.

Some agents are actually contracted to importers in UK. Hence, they will take your money and order the pre-exported zam zam to be delivered to your home. This is faster method as no individual custom clearance is involved as the importers get container loads of 20 litre drums.

Whether the water is genuinely zam zam or not is something I cannot put my hand on my heart and confirm. I certainly know one importer whose water is indeed zam zam but there are other importers too.

As with other things, the biggest shock I always get is that in matter of Deen it is us muslims who con our fellow Ummatees. I am haj and umra agent but find it difficult to survive because of competition from cowboys who offer the world to innocent pilgrims seeking cheap packages.

Hence, it is not the jews, christians or hindus who trick us muslims but our own brethrens and same goes for deception in the supply of zam zam water which is unpure and also often un-hygenic as it could have been collected from anywhere in unwashed cannisters.

The sign of unpure zam zam is that within short time green algae will form on the bottom of the can.

I am sorry to have rambled on with my answer but I need to do justice to your very serious and real question.
