im driving along in my ferrari with my wife and i get overtaken by a yaris. so i step on the medal and start racing the yaris up the motorway, driving one handed, phone on the other hand, reciting quran and looking out the window loool. basicly to show off.

I dont think wives are all that impressed with this kind of thing lol.

Rather than speeding in your car and probably getting a fine and causing an accident (which could make wife disappointed and angry with you), better just to make an effort to go thru life doing everything in a good way. helping people, including help your wife, be good with the kids, be good to her parents, be good in the community... it really will impress her more than doing these kind of "show off" special things.
I think its better if u keep the intention for Allah though... like u can think of it you do these things for the sake of Allah but u know it will also make ur wife happy. but i think she'll probly rather u dont speed and dont talk on mobile while driving... she doesnt want you to crash and kill urself and her

i think u got to differentiate between showing off...and impressing ur wife,

if u show off by putting other people down..thats not allowed...whereas if ur flexing ur muscles to ur wife or doing the dishes only for her :p..thats fine...

Thats shows some trust and love is missing by the looks of it.

But if you do want to show off, id suggest you jump off a cliff, if you stay alive then she will love you even more when your on the hospital bed, that is for asking such a question in such a scenario. ;) with all respect :)
