Rushing to work, without saying goodbye,
Speeding down the highway, living a lie.
Your visions blurred, your goals obscured,
Its not for your family, its not for your kids
Its for the face on the green paper, place your bids.
The power it possesses, enough to make men mad
You use it on worldly goods, things we should have never had.
Your life revolves around it, and your too nieve to see,
The life you live, is not for you, and its clearly not for me.
Its for the object which has caused hatred, and even death,
The sinister sheet you dream of, breathing for with every breath.
So take a second to put your life on hold, and to actually think
Whether the most important thing to you, is your family or your bank.
You don’t need the yacht, cars, planes or phones to keep your mood happily
It’s the children, the wife, the little things, most importantly, your family.
