no its not going to be pop ups aswell. We did have advertising in that banner space before, or some of our own banners like for noor radio and also in the past we had this muslim baby names one.
The advertising is not free, so its not like we are going to allow any person to just put adverts everywhere, we just take from serious people and if their service or product is something good. We will be selling space on the main page aswell insha allah once we start updating that a bit more.
And yeh Tayyibun are based in east London i think, they do lots of courses it looks really good. U can ask abu Hurairah he knows alot about it.
no pop ups banner ads only
and they do pay for it aswell

that banner is just wrong.....
it should be wider, and the height should be less, it looks out of proportion :p

how much is all the rest?
bid-islam doesnt generate any profit because its 100% free service, but they need to advertise. £60 is alright... how many page impressions n unique visitors do they get etc?

People, I've one comment
From the display point of view:why don't you use the standard banner size (468 x 60) pixels or (728 x 90) instead of a non-standard size?
