Jazakallah khair but how can they not say what the nearest tube is, unless the bus bit about Barking is meant to mean that  Reading between the lines is so

I think that and a few other reasons was why it got replaced, best way to get there is to use DLR and come out of Cypress Station- it basically just there inc. a short walk. :)

Glad to say I attended this event today and Allhamdu'llilah I found it to be v.good :masha: Particularly, Sheikh Tawfique Chowdry's segment because I found it to be so inspiring and the kind that would def give you the motivation in trying to succeed in your path to Allah swt.

Among the many great things he said, he mentioned the importance in gaining illm, I Quote

"You can not acheive excellence until knowledge is your fortes'"

He was discussing the fact that many of us no longer aspire or dream of achieving anything that may seem slightly outside of our comfort zones. The fact is that many of us have become complacent hence, the downfall of the Ummah.

He also said that the two most things one should aspire to be in their life is:

*The Most Knowledgable &
*The Most Merciful

And in aiming to acheive this remeber to keep your intentions in check.

May Allah Reward All those who Attended, those who organised the event and The Sheikhs fo Sharing their knowledge and May he increase us all in knowledge that will be beneficial to us Ameen :insha:

okay, just thought I'd share some of the gems I was able to take away with me.:)

Assalamu Alaikum,

Na'am masha'allah it was an excellent event all round , Shaykh Tawfique's leaders talk was very motivational and urged us to become more active and and aspire to make changes.

His remarks in regards to the last Muslim ruler of Spain weeping as he was leaving the land after its conquest and looking at what all they had established. Than his frail old mother looked at her son crying and her reply to him was very deep and so true. :(

Shaykh Haytham's lecture was also good- that we must return to look at the example of our Rasul (saw) as the source of da'wah and his lasting legacy for which he should be remembered was taking the Muslims away from Shirk and guiding them upon Tawheed, and this should be our call and should be retold.

Masha'allah to the brothers and sisters of UEL Isoc.

Wa Alaikum wa Assalam
