------
Shaikh Al-Awkali, author of the best selling
series, the Lives of the Prophets, presents
his latest lecture series, The Hereafter. In
this series, the Imam vividly portrays the
different phases the human soul passes through
during its lifetime up to its death. In breathtaking
style the listener hears of the events that occur
just before death and the events that come after
it. The Imam gives a clear description about life
in the grave, the horrors of the last day, the
major and minor signs leading to the last hour
and the day of resurrection. The shaikh crowns
this eloquently narrated lecture with the process
of accountability and recompense. On the Day of
Judgement those who pass the test will be rewarded
with Paradise and those who fail will be rewarded
with Hellfire.

-------
Shaikh Anwar Al-Awlaki was born in New Mexico, USA.
His parents are from Yemen where he lived for 11
years and received the early part of his Islamic
education. Imam Anwar Al-Awlaki has served as an
Imam in Colorado, California, and Washington DC.

Do you want to be among those who ensure that Muslim students are getting a fair deal from our national student representative body? Do you want something interesting to write on your CV? If so, make sure you stand for the National Union of Students Annual conference elections which will be taking place at your Students Union very soon. FOSIS' preparations for the NUS annual conference, which incidentally receives national media coverage, are already in motion as we realise that if Muslim students want to influence the hearts and minds of our policy makers- we need to be at the events and places that matter. All Muslim students are encouraged to attend, bring their Muslim friends and make their Islamic societies aware of this very important conference.

If you are interested in having a new experience, need some questions answered about attending the annual conference or just want to get stuck in and stand for the elections, please contact aisha@fosis.org.uk or call 07939 238 163. FOSIS has a variety of resources and packs available, which we can send to you to ensure you have the best possible chance for winning the elections and representing Muslim students’ nationally insh’Allah.

LONDON SEMINAR: Islam and Dawah training
FOSIS invites you to a one day ‘Islam awareness week and Dawah training’ seminar.

‘Invite all to the way of thy Lord, with wisdom and beautiful preaching: and argue with them in ways that are best’ Surah An-Nahl : 125

FOSIS acknowledges that Islam awareness week is one of the most important events an Islamic society takes on, in the hope of presenting the true meaning of Islam as a complete, comprehensive, balanced way of life and rid the misconceptions and negative stereotypes associated with Islam in Britain today.

It is therefore important that we as muslims are well equipped to take on this important responsibility, FOSIS presents this seminar in the hope that it will do just that, insha’Allah. We aim to do this by presenting:

Workshop on how to organise a structured and successful Islamic Awareness Week
Workshop on methods of Dawaah, presented by Br Daud Mathews (who is well known for his excellent and effective workshops)
Provide ISOCs with material that can be used during Islam awareness week, such as
- Speakers list;
- A list of organisations that will be able to loan exhibition materials to your ISOC free of charge or at discount rates
- Dawaah packs
In addition, the following important FOSIS guides:

The ISOC guide
The khutbah Guide
The politics guide

To provide an opportunity for ISOCs to share and discuss any ideas or problems regarding IAW.
