Depends on the time of day - I went umrah alhamdulillah in the summer.

At Zuhr time you can complete tawaaf comfortably in 12/13 minutes.

At peak times - eg maghrib or anytime on thursday/friday may take about 40 minutes - if my memory serves me correctly.

if you are going this time inshaallah all rituals will be easier and comfortable as well as less time consuming .
Tawaaf during this time will take between 20-40 minutes and you can decide your own pace and depends how much dua's you like to perform .

but in hajj and ramadhan it may take an hour or more especially in hajj it might take around 2 hrs since you will have to move with the crowds

i just got back from umrah and it used to take me about 30 min due to the crowd...after the 3 tawaafs which are at a fast pace i used to relax and walk slowly and often took my time as i sometimes could not believe that i was actually there walking next to the kaaba...subhanAllah... what a great sight

It took me less than half hour.... cause i was in the action.. right in the middle of it where everything was happening..

Assalamo Alaikum WR WB.

And I thought being a regular visitor - 16 years - as a group leader I knew how and when best to do the tawaf..Indeed.

On Thursday, 20 September, 8th Ramadan I started my tawaaf immediately after Fajar Salah and finished it in one hour and forty minutes..that's a record time for me on the mataaf..no, not upstairs.

I have completed my tawaaf in 17 minutes at the quickest and in casual walk.

it took me around 1-2 hours in ramadan and hajj, but i don't think the crowd gets smaller any time of the day in ramadan and umrah is cool, :up:Makkah is beautiful just don't get lost but that was 5-7 years ago so it might have been just me lol but after seasons like ramadan and hajj, its pretty empty. and in sa'y they heve two green lights where your supposed to jog in between but some people think its a race...<.<

it took us about 45 mins to an hour during this ramadhan and as it got closer to the last ten days it started taking even longer....but as soon as ramdhan was over...it was 15-20 mins....

ja'zakallahits hard to know especially if your doing it right by the kaba, depends on rush, and its always rushed. i cant pin a time down since it could have taken ages but because you have to keep on your toes or die, youll never know

But if your doing on the second or third floor, then it took me half and hour to go round, i even timed it. and thats at a middle pace.

if your a wheel chair person, it will take you forever, there are minimal wheelchair people, but even the the saudis didnt think it out so well, there is a only room enough for wheelchair people to go in a line, thats how narrow thier path is.

Now they have automated wheel chairs. If you candrive a scooter, they let you first prctice in a specified area on the first floor and then let you drive it for tawaf and sayee all by yourself. During the recent Hajj they were charging 50SR for a ride. But these chairs are meant only for the aged and the deserving.

Jazakallahu Khair. I had the same experience during my recent Hajj. I remembred your words during most of my tawafs.

On the middle floor it took me 55 minutes to do tawaf just five days after Hajj at around 5pm. If you go on the down floor just by the foot of Ibrahim a.s then it takes 15 mins max but you cant go more near cuz it was so crowded, you could not even breath properly

I think the best time is an hour after isha or after zuhr. I just went last month it took be 15-30 minutes to complete tawaf. But if you're going after zuhr beware of the 120 degree temperature.

It was not an hour after isha. But after Zuhr was crowded but then again last month was no hajj. I was there in the hajj period

when we went for Hajj this year, we did tawaaf almost everyday an hour before fajr. it was that bad Alhumdulillah. but subhanAllah, even the roof was full of people at any time of the day or night. so many muslims together at once. no wonder everybody is scared of us. they are scared that if all the muslims truly unite. we can so take over the world.

We did almost all our tawaf in the evening, after Esha, into the wee hours of the morning? This was during Hajj time, and I do believe I never got to see the view from any of the floors because we were always on the ground near the Kaa'ba mashaAllah. Yup it can get really tight in some places but you just have to stay away from those large groups that rope together forming a hayooj chain and sweep up whatever people come in their way lol! :p I think it was relatively calm alhamdullillah, apart from one time when a big group of HUGE men went stomping directly through everyone at the wrong angle to what everyone else was walking and one stepped on my toes :( You meet some interesting people at those times though lol...my heart went out especially for those little kids who had fallen asleep holding onto the back of their mums clothes and were just being pulled by the parents round and round and round...they looked too cute :p For those occasions I had a supply of sweets in my pockets to perk up the kiddies :inlove:

...................large groups that rope together forming a hayooj chain and sweep up whatever people come in their way ..............

That would be exaggeration. No hajji would ever sweep up whatever people come in their way, let alone give even the slightest trouble to others.

People espcially families hold on to each other so that they dont get lost in the crowd. The others should understand that and help them from getting separated.

Sometimes people help others walk around, and sometimes we're probably talking about very old and frail people - I pushed a wheelchair when I did mine so it took a lot longer.

I pushed my grandfathers wheelchair throughout the trip and i must say i am an expert driver in that. I didnt hit one person. All clean

Well lets just say that in the heat and all, sometimes delivering people a nice, sharp, painful wheelchair push to the calves can help you get quicker results! Though if you're not careful then the policeman in the middle will run up and smack you with his rather painful looking cane.

Thats the punishment in dunya but not an expiation for the sin of carelessness or rash driving.

Do you think that if you have not personally experienced or seen something then it does not exist? Maybe you should learn to listen to other people sometimes because you may learn something.

Whether you have been for Hajj before or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is that you are accusing someone of something just because it does not fit into the rulebook. Well unfortunately for you, and all of us here, people are not perfect and people break rules. Intentionally and unintentionall. So accept it or keep living under a stone.
