It was narrated from alee bin abee taalib, that he said they were sitting with the prophet saws, so he asked them, "whats the best thing for a woman"? so they stayed silent. so when he got back he asked his wife faatimah radiyallaahu anha, so she replied "that men dont see her" Alla yaraaha ar-Rijaal. so he mentioned that to the prophet saws and he said " faatimah is a part of me".
(رواه البزار في مسنده وراجع مجمع الزواءد للهيثمي] (4/258]
Lessons:
1) FOR THE SISTERS:
Where are we from their examples honestly?
Where are the ones who invite sisters over their houses while their husbands are at home from these women?
Where are the ones who go to lessons and go to prayer so the intent is for men to see them from these women?
Where are the ones who go out mutabarrijaat from these women?
Where are the ones who work by choice in mixed places from these women?
Where are the ones who publicly speak before men from these women!?
Please spread to the sisters end encourage them in the khayr. Revive the sense of hayaa in your sisters.
2) FOR THE BROTHERS:
Where are you from the example of the sahabah who had enough gheerah to kill a man if he ever saw his wife?
Where are the men who bring over their friends and introduce their wives to them or have their wives serve them from the sahabah?
Where are the men who display their wives at weddings and engagements and invite all their friends to see her from the sahabah?
Where are the men who have no care for niqab and proper hijab from the sahabah?
Where are the men who let their wives talk to their friends on the phone from the sahabah?
Please spread to the brothers and encourage them in the khayr. Revive the Gheerah(Jealousy) of the brothers for their women.

defo, i agree that admirable geerah is something that a lot of brothers and sisters lack today
Just look at the example of Asmaa' (ra) and how she knew of the geerah that Az Zubayr had for her so she avoided situations that may cause him to be jealous like the hadith in which the Nabi (pbuh) offered her help and the nabi (pbuh) the most righteous and God fearing person and she still knew that Zubayr might get jealous so she declined his offer
SubhanaAllah
Instead these days we got brothers who encourage their wives to unveil who don't care if other men oogle her and women who flaunt them selves, cheapening their worth.

mashaALLAH - Nabi :saw: was taking the test of Sayyidatuna Fatimah - she passed. And our Asaatizah taught us that it was out of joy at the passing of the test that Nabi :saw: stated to the effect that Fatimah is a part of me.

You're saying that women should have no contact with anyone besides their husband, children and family/parents-in-law?
Not even with other women?
Is this marriage or solitary confinement?

Yeah, I misread the bit where it says "whilst her husband is at home" in regards to having friends over.
But, overall, it does suggest a certain degree of seclusion.
Mashallah we need more posts like these. Abu baraa barakallahu feek

Seclusion is not a bad thing akhi. A woman should not be outside her house unless she has a reason to be.
And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance (33:33)
Also, in a hadeeth, it was reported by 'Uqbah Ibn 'Aamir (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) I said: 'O Messenger of Allaah, how does one attain salvation?' He (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) responded: 'Restrain your tongue, remain in your home and weep over your sins.
Here we see that remaining in your house can be a means of salvation and Allah knows best.
