Assalamo alaikum
Does anyone know anything about this hotel in Makkah. It is supposed to be a 4 star situated behind the Hilton.
Brother Ismail would you know ? Not seen or read anything about it so I am curious
Intending to leave for Umrah on the weekend Insha Allah. Please make dua for me.
Jazakallah

Dar Nadwah belongs to Al Masa chain of hotels and is graded 4 star and which is what it is...er...JUST. It is a glorified 4 star and that is pushing it.
You are better off at Elaf Al Huda.

So does that mean it's more like a 3 star ?
Would you know Brother Ismail how far it is to the harem, by foot
Jazakallah

That's right. Dar Nadwa is 3 star at best.
Its behind Hilton and you have the choice of going past the Hilton, through the coach station or past Dar As Salam and Elaf Kindah on the right.
From the left it is quicker because there are no hawkers pushing their trinkets into your face as you walk past the whole lot of cheap stuff peddlers (cant blame them for trying to earn a few riyals instead of begging !!) or face the gauntlet of them if you go past the right side.
The distance to walk (I have not measured personally) to the Haram courtyard from Dar Nadwa is around 180 meters at the most.
Plenty of Karahi restaurants if you are brave to face the gauntlet on the right side though and you also benefit from listening to:
Shk Sudais or "Mohammad Nabeena" etc etc etc have fun.:)

Jazakallah Brother Ismail
I have to say that your postings on this forum have been most informative and I am sure most pther Brothers and Sisters feel the same.
We could do with more people like you who are full of knowledge and information.
Please make dua for me and all the other brothers and sisters that are going for umrah and may Allah subhana wata ala grant us all an accepted umrah and accept all our ibadah. And may you be rewarded abundantly for the help and advice that you are providing. Ameen

Wa Iyyakum.
InshaAllah, all your waiting for visa tension will be swept away when you stand in front of His House which is beckoning you. Approach it with much tears and supplications and concentrate on making as many tawaafs as possible and take your time in doing it as there should be no need to rush it.
Tawaaf may take 15 minutes or 50 minutes, does that matter unless you need to go and do what you have to go and do...
Outside of the Haram enjoy the atmosphere and the novelties of diversity, the skyscrapers and the almost near to collapse buildings...the tall and the short...the white and the black...the rich and the pauper...the generous and the questioning....the abundance of food and the hungry .... Subhanallah, its all there...
Go and see the new and evolving construction of Jamaraat and visualise how, despite its size people still get killed ...is it because the devil is taking his toll while we try to take his........
Most important of all, don't get persuaded into an argument or quarrel for should that happen then you have been defeated and the devil has won....no matter what or why be that the people there, their culture or be that because of the failings of your agent etc...
You are there to answer the call of Allah by reciting "Labbayk, Labbayk, Allahumma Labbayk and not answering to the wiswasaas of the Shaitan...
Come back home like a new born baby without a mustard seed size stain of sin on you InshaAllah....
