How to pray isha salat

I would like to know what is the minimum number of rakats you have to pray for Isha.

I know the fardh is obligatory but other people say you have to pray a minimum 10+witr rakats such as:

4 rakat sunnah before fardh
4 rakat fardh
2 rakat sunnah
3 rakat witr

13 rakats in total

what is the correct number of rakats to be prayed? or
what do most people do?

As far as I'm aware, the first 4 Sunnah of Isha are voluntary.

But the 2 after the 4 Fard, you have to pray - the Prophet (saw) never missed them (please correct me if I'm wrong).

And of course the 3 Witr (according to Hanafi fiqh) is Wajib - i.e. you have to pray them.
