View Full Version : I am sure you have been asked this question a million times but...
I am really interested in what Islam teaches and their belief system concerning animals we share this earth with. I know according to Judaic Christian beliefs they have no souls and do not follow into any type of "after-life". Do Islamic teachings follow along this same line?
I must apologize for my finger-in-thee-eye avatar. I realize that this isn't probably the proper forum for such an avatar to be displayed, it was put up to be displayed in the General Forum. I haven't earned my wings as I am not yet at my hundredth post and cannot disable or enable it at will at this point in time. My apologies if it offends anybody veiwing this particular forum.

Peace,
There are no creatures crawling on the earth or flying creatures, flying with its wings, who are not nations just like yourselves. We have not ommited anything from the book. Then they will be gathered to their lord" (638)
All creatures will be brought back to life on the day of rising and stand for reckoning.
Animals have their own spheres of existence, their own ways of life. They have laguage and are sentitent..even inanimate things and plants have sensation and feeling...they glorify and prostrate.
"Do you not see that everyone in the heavens and everyone on the earth prostrates to allah, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains, trees and beasts - and many of mankind?" (2218)
Animals will be reckoned too...even a hornless sheep will will take its due from a horned sheep which butted it in this world.
After the retaliation owed by those creatures to one another is finished, after every one with a due has taken its due, allah will say to them 'be dust'
They will all be happy and call out to people and say, "Praise beongs to allah! praise belongs to allah, sons of adam, who has not made us like you today! we do not hope for the garden or fear hellfire". They will be simply turned to dust.

Hi, I have a question. Whenever I see Allah's (SWT) name, it's always followed by the "(SWT)".
I believe it's a praise, and I have absolutely no issue with praising Allah (SWT).
But I'm curious to know how I'm praising him! :-)
Thanks!
P.S. Please forgive my "DamnYankee" monkier...it's just something a Southern friend of mine calls me.

Thank you kindly!
I'd like to say, although I myself am not Muslim, I've been fortunate to have had Muslim friends in the past.
I think it is a fascinating belief, I enjoyed sitting across from my Muslim friend Abe where I worked previously, and listening to him explain Islam, Allah (SWT), how we non-Muslims are seen, and generally everything he said. A wise man indeed.
A peaceful man too.
I don't have any experience hating Muslims, so I don't really understand why so many people do. I believe far back in my mind it's because of ignorance, not the insultive kind children would call each other, but the kind that simply means "lack of knowlege".
If I may be so bold to ask, is anybody aware of any Web sites that explain Islam, please, without the insulting each other, sabre rattling, or hatred?
Peace be unto you to, and thanks again.

Islam-guide is excellent. I have a lot of reading and learning to do.
I am confirming my long-held belief Islam is a honest, caring way of living.
It is indeed ignorance which is the true enemy of all man.
