Do you mean as a young person, or eventually? I think a heart attack would be a pretty good way to die. It would be much less painful than dying of cancer.

I've had heart pains before, pretty bad, side effects from medecine. I can imagine how painful a heart attack must be, trust me, not a good way to die.

Does it really matter? The details of our deaths are up to Allah and nothing we can do will change that

There is not really any good way to die. Obviously quick and painless would be the best, but that is not how most people die. If painless is not possible, then at least it being quick is better than it taking a long time.

im not afraid of death per se, but more worried along the lines of 'what if i havent done enough good deeds to be in Allah's favour'

if you know what i mean.

so everyone, live every day as if its your last! (less partying, more ibaadah)

yes, what Summer said :) Death is not something to hate or to be afraid of. This world is not our permanent home, and we should not become so attached to it that we are not willing to leave. Death brings you closer to meeting Allah subhanahu wa ta3ala, so for that we can not hate it because the one who hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him..
On the other hand, we should not necessarily ask Allah for death or be careless about our life, hoping to hasten our death. It is not the case that this life is totally useless, because this life and this time is the only chance that we have got to fill our scales with deeds. More time and more life gives more opportunity to accumulate more hasant, if used correctly

more afraid of what is after death, where my place will be

may Allah grant us Jannah with punishment.

in regards to death, everyone will taste death, and will feel the pain of it.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam felt it.

you know when i hear people say 'im scared of dying' i feel like saying why???
i dont understand - as it is one of the most natural things ever just like birth
i can understand someone being scared of pain, hurt but not death itself

this dunya (world) aint that special that we have to cling on to it!

may Allah give us all painless , peaceful deaths with ''la ilaha illal lahu '' being our last words, inshallah

I'm not afraid of death either. Alhamdulilah death is haq and it'll happen. Insha'Allah we should worry more about how we will die. If we die in disbelief or sinning thats only a sign of where we'll end up. We should always think of every breath and every heart beat as a gift from Allah, a chance to prepare for our real home (the hereafter). We were created to worship Allah SWT and to work for our real home, this life is not our real home. There is a life that has no death, thats the hereafter. The angel of death is closer to us then we think, just because we're young we should not think that we'll live upto 60 or 70. Many young people die everyday. Don't take a day uve been given for granted, engage in good deeds and keep dhikr moist with your lips.

This life is a fleeing moment, it'll perish and everything thats in it. It's only Allah SWT who'll never die and to him is our final return, so we should work for that meeting. Imagine there will come a day when we'll meet our creator subhanAllah isn't that thought itself so overwhelming?

May Allah SWT let us die on la ilaha ilalah muhamada rasululah, May Allah SWT make us not of those who only lived for this life and forgot their real purpose therefore Allah made them forget about themselves, May Allah aza wajal, remind us and keep us focused on where we are going, and where we came from ameen. May Allah make us not of those who'll be given their books on their left hand, May Allah protect us from being of the losers in the grave and on the judgementday ameen.

young people shouldn't really worry about heart attacks, unless you're overweight and/or chronically unfit...

I'm terrified of death!!! I think about it all the time. Which is easy to do when your disabled. Especially with a family history of heart disease and cancer. Plus I am afraid of what will happen on judgement day. because I am really terrified of going to hell.

A doctor friend of mine has treated a number of people who've been stabbed. (She' hasn't really treated anyone who's been beheaded, however. And I'm not sure what sort of medical care would be appropriate in such a case.)

But as far as stabbing is concerned, it's really not all that painful. Patients report feeling the blow, like getting punched, and a little uncomfortable stinging, but no agonizing pain. In fact, many people who've been stabbed aren't aware of the severity of their injury.

As for cancer pain. Yes. It does exist. And, no, it's not inevitable. Nowadays, even severe pain related to cancer can be very well controlled. There are now so many pain drugs, and so many ways to deliver them effectively, that no one terminally ill with cancer should experience significant pain.

But. Perception is everything.

If you are terminally ill and terrified of death, there's no drug that can take your fear away.

Maybe in most cases, but I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at 18 and all the doctors are puzzled because I'm really thin, my cholestrol is much lower than the average and everything else is fine el'Hamdurallah. It's just one of those trials of life and el'Hamdurallah - it could've been much worse.

As someone said, I don't fear physical death but I fear what will happen to me after I finally laid in the grave with only my deeds to accompany me.

May Allah(swt) allow us to attain taqwa and live our life according to the Quran and sunnah, keep us safe in the Barzakh and grant us Firdous! Ameen!

Ameen.

You know...considering how many sins I commit, you'd think that I would be afraid of death, and ultimately burning in hell. But I'm not. I dunno, I guess I'm just cool with the idea of dying.

I regularly get chest pains so I kinda fear a heart attack at times. I went to see a doctor but he said something about that area of my chest was big, so it's nothing to worry about.

But yeah, death is something I worry about considering my imaan is not at all strong. :(
