View Full Version : Smelly Feet
Asalamualykum Wa Rahmatullah
How comes yea, when you go to the masjid, everyone always has some mashed up feet?
Like every single person, I dont get it, does everyone like drop bricks on their toes or summing and does it happen to everyone as they get older. The only people who I see have normal feet are the youth but even then sometimes.
Dont know if the sisters area or feet are the same but the mens feet man, theyre all  unless theyre wearing leather socks in which case they're safe.
Alhamdulilah my feet are fine now, but Im wondering if it will go with age :(
:rotfl:

Ewww:outta:
EDIT: Sorry, that's not very constructive..Ok,feet,regularly moisturise them if you find them getting dry and whatnot, and thingmjig your feet aswell, yknow that thing that rubs off all the dead skin:up:Keeps your feet very nice..And get some nice peppermint foot cream from bodyshop, thats YUM:D(i dont eat it or anything, but yeah you get me)
Although,I dont know how many brothers would conform to this pedicure-ish behaviour..
:0: smells come from bacteria, bacteria comes from dirt... no matter what age people should keep themselves, their shoes and clothes clean....then khalass no nasty smells..

exactly ^ ...take care of them, ...and wear sensible/comfortable shoes/trainers i.e. they must fit you well...if shoes get tight n small its not good to continue wearing them as they're bad for feet ...its the little things that make a difference ....
Old on one minute peeeps, my feet are alhamdulilah nice and normal, Im talking about the men. Im just worried alhamdulilah I got good feet in my youth but I dont want them coming out all manky with age...
But true say, wearing sandals all the time are mashing them a little, I need to start wearing socks with these sandals.

Guys who worry about their feet so much are to feminine, wearing socks with sandals makes you a fob and it's very uncomfortable.
Just take your regular showers and clean your feet nicely with soap to take out all the dirty bacteria

This coming from someone who has a gay guy [most likely] as his username.
And Im only worried about my feet because I play regular football and atheletics and if my feet arent up to scratch, then the football isnt up to scratch. These are precious feet alhamdulilah, they need to be looked after
Plus the fact Ive been scarred by the horrors I saw in the masjid, like peeps and got no toenails and ting
someone needs to ask someone at the masjid to make an announcement about people having stinky feet (if they are messed up as in monster like-whihc most mens feet seem to be- then there isnt much u can do) cos its not nice to come to prayer and have to put up with that, they can ask them to make sure they wash there feet PROPERLY b4 attending congregational prayers, how the heck u supposed to concentrate wen u got wafts of moulding cheese wafting past your nose

Smelly feet is the last thing you have to put with up in mosque. People picking their nose, fondling their beard, sticking their finger in their earhole are just some of the things you have to put up with in salaah!
Not to talk about some of the brothers have got the foulset smell coming from their mouth!
Should'nt really say it but its true.

Gotta take care of your feet ... spend extra money on good socks ... Smartwool and Thorlon are excellent for keeping your feet dry when it is hot ... the moisture transfers to the outside of the fabric ... you can find them in hiking/outdoors type stores ... expensive socks but well worth it ...

:rotfl::rofl1: K@M ure a joka lol
But trusay, in the midst of the laughter and jokes, u have a serious point here lol
I've witnessed these scenes too in various masjids.
Wht it is akhi, ive noticed its more common amongst older dudes who were originally from wherever theyre from, as in not born n bred here...now the reasoning behind that is prob most of the countries theyre from be it Asia or Middle East are hot, so they walk around bare foot everyday on rock hard...and un-hospitable groundz to say the least! lol , so the feet get a propa beating, on top of that the hard labour people do etc makes things worse.
Us on the other hand, usually are wearing socks even in the house coz of the cold, and trainers outside etc so feet stay protected and dont get crustufied (new word) as easily.
The problem however, i can diagnose in masjids here even amongst youth (Remember college prayer room! loool) is SMELLY FEET , sometimes and most of the times its coz brothers are lazy and dont change socks everyday :vomit:
So a word of advice Brothers (and Sisters?)
CHANGE SOCKS EVERYDAY MINIMUM, U dont wanna be blamed for the guy behind you who is intoxicated when he goes down to sujood by your socks, and thus loses any Khushoo' he had!:eek::eek::eek::rotfl:
EDIT: Another tip for the brothers, You have no excuse not to change socks everyday DONNAY SOCKS FROM SPORTS AND SOCCER, LIKE £2 for 10 PAIRS LOOOOL ;)

u need to ask the guy in charge at the masjid to either put a notice up about cleanliness of feet (and underarms, im sure ther might be aB.O. problem as well judging by the problems admitted so far) or make a quick speech about it at the end of prayer etc
Just change them on a daily basis and wash your feet with soap. Same as you wouldnt wear a top for 3 days in a row if you sweat a lot, same with socks or any other piece of clothing
Whats the issue here?

if they are praying 5 times i cant imagine how the feet would still stink , unless they only pray jummah and in that case, 7 days worth of pong builds up by the time the following jummah comes
They probably aren't changing their socks often then :S And sweat/bacteria can linger (and gather - yuck) in shoes so most likely thats where the stink is coming from and ending up on their socks.

:rotfl: good job at my local masjid there is a separate prayer hall (with pa link) for the sisters and almost all the sisters there consider feet to be awra and always wear socks for praying mashaAllah.
perhaps the imam of these masjids should do a khutbah on foot hygiene and leave bars of soap in the brothers' wudu area?
BTW crusty flaky cracked yellow toenails is a fungal infection so anyone affected should see their GP. Perhaps a notice about this should be on the notice board? Maybe have a "health matters" notice board for stuff like that so someone who just wants to look up the prayer times doesn't have to look at pics of moldy toenails lol

Lool yea, the wannabe bedouins are let off cos they poor and cant afford it and ting and like they do hard labour but its the grandad gee who tells the youth off for not wearing tupis and then you look at his feet and he got some fungus on it
