Just to add that this was an extremely successful conference, the first of its kind and scale in the UK! Many people came from far and wide, travelling thousands of miles to attend this!

In the upcoming months Islam Channel (Sky 813) will be broadcasting the talks/ lectures inshaAllah on a programme calls Education Matters so keep your eyes peeled! :)

didn't really take notes, cos most of the sessions were workshop type sessions.

It was interesting what he was saying about horse riding and archery stuff.

very interesting. also what he said about swimming as a physical exercise being an analogy for life in the dunya - something to the effect of "you;re either swimming or you're drowning"...

Actually sis it stressed the importance of education from birth! The childs first teacher is their mother so it is essential that we, as mothers, are aware of how we can stimulate and teach our kids even at home with everyday items!

For those who could not attend, Quest have put together a journal of notes and lectures/ poems etc by most of the speakers which is for sale at a reduced rate inc. p&p...but I forget how much! :p

I will get the details inshaallah of how to get a journal inshaallah...I have one myself and have read some of it and it really is an interesting and useful resource to have! It discusses some really important issues surrounding education and childcare and will make you think and look twice at the way our children are educated in this society!

Assalamu alaikum,

Thank you to all who attended the conferene for their kind words, patience and support, and for overlooking our shortcomings on the day. It was an honour to be at the service of those who honour and value knowledge and education...that so many people took part in the day was a reassurance that the concerns we have and the solutions we are are trying to find are shared by so many...in coming together inshaAllah the opportunities to move forward and realise our intentions will become clear and easy...

For those who were unable to attend the conference (and those who were!) copies of the conference journal will be available for a limited time only at the reduced price of £5 including postage. You may send your payment by PayPal or personal cheque, to the following address:

Quest Conference Journal
