As Salaamu Alyakum wa ramatUllah
How far do you/would you go with your hijab? I know a lot of revert Muslimahs wear the headscarf, and that's not so unusual in Western culture (even if it has gotten rarer in recent decades). But it's hard to imagine some girl with a Euro/American cultural upbringing going the "whole hog" (if you'll excuse the phrase). I don't know enough about other cultures to make a judgement call either way.
Anyway, I'm curious.
PS: I'll post a similar poll for revert brothers as soon as I can formulate some poll choices :)

i don't know what you mean by the 'whole hog' but if i am understanding your post correctly, in my experience of the many white reverts that i know and have seen to Al Islam the majority of them cover up far more than the mainstream muslims.
It's not weird in Islam we are all equal whether we be white or black or whatever so it's not weird for them to be covered up as if other non- white muslimahs do it the same principals apply to them, and not uncommon either

Sorry, it's an old European idiom meaning "all the way and a bit further".
Also, about covering completely, I just meant it has no antecedents in modern Western culture. So I can't imagine Muslimahs with that background doing it. Not that I'm saying they can't/shouldn't. I'm personally in favour of a Muslimah covering in from of gayt Mahram (did I get that right?), but it's up to the individual to make that choice. Or not.

gayt mahram...did you mean girr mahram?
Trust me mashAllah it is very common, i find muslimah especially reverts from Uk origin are so fed up with the western lifestyle they can't wait to cover up and stop being used for their looks and what not.
Odd it may seem very common though alhamdulilah

I think its quite common that revert sisters also wear niqaab? Niqaabis may be even something like 30% or 50% reverts i dont know? but its not uncommon at all..
