Educating Your Children In The West
IslamBradford has organised a comprehensive lecture about how we can raise our children living in the west. With so many dangers and diversions that can affect young people IslamBradford presents two vastly experience speakers to educate us on this topic.
Mr Akram Khan-Cheema has over thirty years of experience in the British education system and has been instrumental in pushing back the barriers facing Muslim teachers. Having taught at primary and secondary level, he rose to become chief inspector of schools in Bradford. As education consultant with the Association of Muslim Schools, Mr Khan-Cheema has helped develop schemes to enable trainee teachers to bring Islam to the classroom.
Brother Alyas Karmani is a school governor and has been involved in many programs in advising teachers, parents and students in how they can get the best out of the schooling experience.
