Loved this book.

Loneliness...the obvious one is Lenny. But to a certain extent if you include themes of isolation under loneliness and argue how they are infact similar you could add George under that too. And that woman who causes all of these problems in the first place - who Lenny ends up murdering (as far as I can remember :scratch: )

Lenny is the obvious choice :smack:

i know i should be encourging u to read the book, but when i had no time i used to go to this site. it gives u a summery of each chapter, which is great so u can know what actaully happend. it aslo has lots of helpful things such as a summery of each character and stuff like that. I am not sure if it has this book, BUT it has most books. just take a look

You wanna get top marks in the essay. .than all you gotta do is use the PQE method.. trust me use this method and you'll get an A..

p = point . write what you point is

q = quote - use a quote from the book

e- explain - expalin the quote..

keep doing this at least 5-6 times.. using the pqe method..

The friendship that George and Lennie share forms the core of the novel. From Lennie point of view, George is the most important person in his life, his guardian and only friend. Whenever something goes wrong, his first thought is of George’s disapproval. George, on the other hand, thinks of Lennie as a constant cause of frustration. He has assumed responsibility for Lennie’s welfare and has, several times, been forced to run because of trouble Lennie has unintentionally caused. Life with Lennie is not easy. However, despite George’s frequent bouts of anger and frustration, and his long speeches about how much easier life would be without Lennie, George is clearly devoted to his friend. He flees from town to town not to escape the trouble Lennie has caused, but to protect Lennie from its consequences. The men are uncommonly united by their shared dream of a better life on a farm where they can “live off the fatta the lan’,” as Lennie puts it. have u tried joining Best Tutors in Leyton, I think they on Church Road, they teach Of Mice and Men when I signed up to teach English, teaching methods are strict and good :up:
(I never went back after one day training - was too far out for me)

i fink da theme on lonliness is about how each character lacks something like how lennie is mentally challenged, george has no family n has 2 put up wiv lennie, crooks is da only black guy n is segregated, candy has one hand,etc. hopefully u kno wot i mean. on bbc bitesize dey xplain it aswell.#
