assalamu ala man ittaba'a al Huda

Multaqa ahl al hadeeth is an Arabic Islamic forum for students of knowledge and shaikhs.
it was created in 2002 and has gotten very popular amongest arabic speaking studenst of knowledge and shaikhs
majority being students of knowledge, beginners and advanced, and a minority are shaikhs.

this week, they opened a section for English speakers, alhamduilllah
at last !
I have been wanting this for years now.

Here it is
http://www.ahlalhdeeth.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=61

BUT FIRST READ THE REST OF MY POST !

the members who post in the Arabic forum have arabic IDs
so if u dont' know arabic and see letters you can't understand, I mean the usernames, then they are in Arabic.

the main forum will appear to you in Arabic becaue it is an Arabic forum, and one section is made for English speakers, so change the settings to English
very easy, the steps are in this thread:
http://www.ahlalhdeeth.com/vb/showthread.php?t=91578

after u change it to English you can go ahead and register.

if you have any problems just contact the forum admins through the rules thread, u will find an email there to contact.
================================================== ===

Make sure you read the rules.
it is not a general forum
it is for a specific purpose
so no political, current affairs, lifestyle, experiences, general non Islamic topics, ...etc.

when u read the rules you will know insha Allah.
you can post questions related to general Islam or Islamic knowledge in creed, fiqh, science of hadith ..etc (more detailed or complicated issues)

It is good for studenst of knowledge, and laymen who have question about different Islamic issues.

in regards to registering an English username

there is some problem.

so for now just send the username you want to register with to the email in the "how to register" topic.

and they will register you insha Allah.

some already did that and they are registered.

here is what a brother posted about the forum a couple weeks ago in his blog

Multaqa Ahl al-Hadith in English?!?!
February 16th, 2007 ·

Br. Amad was the first one to post on this, so I’m simply going to cut and paste his post as he did an excellent overview. This was truly a suprise. What’s ironic is that the last few days, as I had been going to their website I didn’t even pay much notice to the introduction of the English section. I’m truly surprised. Anyways, this is what Amad had to say:

For many blog readers who don’t speak Arabic, you’ll be asking Multaqa what? Multaqa ahl-hadith means the ‘Meeting place of the Ahl-Hadith’. This website is one of the most popular discussion forums on the internet, but until now it was only in Arabic. To give you an idea of its popularity, consider these stats:

Created in 2001.
18,000 members (despite moderated membership)
80,000 topics and 500,000 posts!
700 people online on average, up to a max. of 2100.
2600 manuscripts online.
Over 10,000 books online.
Many students of knowledge online, incl. from US such as Waleed Idrees.
Yasir Q.’s testimonial “It is - from my limited knowledge of Arabic sites - the single most beneficial site I have come across, and Allah knows best…
A wide spectrum of visitors from the non ahl-hadith to the ahl-hadith discussing in a strictly academic format.
So… now the English version has JUST been kicked off. Amazingly, the brother who runs (Sh. Haitham Hamdan, an instructor at AIU) it is a friend and a teacher, and so this is something brand-new that he sent us. The link to the English site is here. Sign up to be part of something that could be really big inshallah.

I personally have to say that this webforum is the main reason that I am grateful for the internet. Never have I had a question except that I have been able to find the answer here. There are great scholars and students of knowledge who take part in this forum. Many of them are bearer’s of PhD’s or Huffadh of the Qur’an who know all the Qira’at such as Shaykh Walid Idris who is actually an Imam of a Masjid in America. Now, it goes without saying, that 80,000 topics in the Arabic is a very difficult act to replicate, but here is the comment left by Shaykh Haitham Hamdan, an admin of Multaqa Ahl al-Hadith, on Br. Amad’s post:

Jazakallahu khairan Abu Abdallah for spreadig the news.

The success of such forums is only attained by the participation of students of knowledge. We hope for the Multaqa to play a role in spreading knowledge in the west.

I ask Allah SWT to grand all of us ikhlas, hidayah and tawfeeq.

Haitham Hamdan

Aameen.
