LGC Events!
Friday 16 February, 6-7pm:
Shut Down Guantánamo demonstration outside the US Embassy, Grosvenor Square , Mayfair , W1 (nearest tube: Marble Arch/Bond Street ). The LGC’s second weekly demonstration outside the US Embassy calling for the detention camp to be closed and all the prisoners to be released or tried legally. Come and join us – bring your banners and glass jars as well to use as lamps (not requisites).
It is half-term and children are welcome to join in.

Queen Mary Westfield College , University of London , Mile End, is holding a week of events and lectures about the war on terror; one of the issues to be discussed is Guantánamo Bay and the plight of the British residents. The LGC will be holding a stall at the above times. If you are able to help out for a while on either of those dates, please reply to this email.
