Ian MacDonald QC- barrister, Garden Court Chambers, author MacDonald’s Immigration Law and Practice, resigned as Special Advocate to SIAC in 2004 in protest against indefinite detention without trial.

Gareth Peirce- solicitor, Birnberg Peirce, representing individuals in criminal, deportation and extradition proceedings, where evidence obtained from torture is presently used.
