Yeah it sounds abit freshie...but that's what makes it nice. It's not them dodgy type freshie things...it goes pretty well in this song tbh.
the nasheed reminds me of being in makkah.
You heard Muhammad Nabeena? That's probably the most played nasheed in Makkah.

Na'am I agree shodoh bashah Dhakai does sound nicer to the ears- somewhat posh. But in honestly I don't mind being Bengalis as such, not very bothered by it all as I and the family have more or less lost all of those Asian traits we have in terms of clothing, those celebrations, the whole Bolly/Dollywood music, acting, etc. not due to being Westernised but embracing the deen you gather a whole new outlook in thought, dress.
Its a bit hard to explain though :S, just the Bengali cousine and some broken banga sanga Sylheti speech remains really.

a literal example... i live in a predominantly "white" area, but there's this bangali family that live next door to us, and the man stands outside his house in a "longhi" and just watches everybody go by... how embarassing.
i told my parents and my dad defended him saying "he's just practicing his culture nothing wrong with that" so i asked him "so why dnt u go out in your longhi?" he goes "we've been here a long time, we know how not to behave in this country" lol:rotfl:

one thing i will commend bengalis on is our hospitality. mashallah we are very hospitable when it comes to guests.
when i was in madinah, we went to different floor from our usual to be served dinner because it was busy, so towards the end of the evening the bengali hotel workers that usually served us came knocking on our door to ask why we hadnt come down to eat. i dno how they remember who has eaten and who hasnt out of all the guests that they have. masha'allah those brothers were just so lovely... may allah reward them with only whats good and sparkly.

Na'am thats true- Bengalis are good in that regard, they take care of you and are generally kind regardless if your a Deshi or not. Also I've found them to take concern and account of peoples feelings, thats very good masha'allah because its a matter most overlook whether we upset people or not intentionally or not.
Their key concern is whether you have eaten or not being a meman/ guest. :rubeyes:Seriously, you come to a Bengali bros house and thats all he'll ask and bug you about after the salaam, its constant 'Afnah baath khai soh nee?' x50 non stop. :smack:

No they don't , Babies as cute as they are poo and wee all over the place but nappies save them, cats :meow: poo and wee in the garden or in appropriate areas (their version of toilet) and than cover it (sense of shame and knowledge of filth) after their trained (their version of potty training).
Thats why cats are known as amongst the cleanest of animals and so our Sahabah (ra) and Rasul (saw) regarded them so highly.
