there is a difference b/w israeli goods and jewish good
when you mentioned marks and spenser, M&S actually belongs to british jews not israel
i am proudly an anti-israeli but i am not anti-jewish, after all jews are the people of the book.
When the Prophet (pbuh) came to Madinah, there were various tribes of the Jews, almost 7 Jewish tribes. Upon his arrival to Madinah, he established a written constitution for Madinah, which stated that the Jews of Madinah and Muslims were one nation. The constitution guaranteed freedom of belief for them, and they had their synagogue and their own religious school called Al-Midras (an Arabic word similar to school).
Since they are People of the Book, the Prophet (peace be upon him), was keen on gaining the Jews’ hearts and minds because they were aware of heavenly scriptures, and consequently the nearest to Islam.
In Sahih Al-Bukhari, which is considered the most authentic book after the Qur’an, many stories of the Prophet’s kindness and benevolence to the Jews have been narrated. Examples of these stories are:
1.The Prophet’s visit to a Jewish boy who became sick.
2. The Prophet’s standing in respect of a funeral procession of a Jew. When some of his companions found it strange to do that, the Prophet remarked, “Isn’t it a human soul?”
3. A story of Jewish woman who came to ask for food from the Prophet and he gave her food.
And so many other stories.

Marks and Spencers have long been known to support the zionist regime of Israel.
If you're a Londoner, you may have seen the picket outside Marks and Spencers in Marble Arch (near Oxford Street. This picket has people from jewish Muslim, Christian, agnostic etc backgrounds due to M&S support of Israel

Just to point out agian that it's not about it being 'Jewish' it's about companies being owned by Zionists who then fund the destruction of Palestine.

its so important that people remember this.... so many times people will say 'oh but jews own everything..we can't possibly boycott all jewish products'
its about ZIONIST products...these company OPENLY support the illegal apartheid state, they openly send money (yes...that yummy m&s sandwich) to kill MUSLIMS in palestine
there are many jewish companies which are anti-zionist...eg. ben and jerrys ice cream (alhamdulilah :D )
shopping ethically does not cost more (big zionist brands are generally more expensive)...is good for your health (a fresh halaal 1/4 pounder is better than an artificial filletofish, and coke just rots ur teeth) and it does hurt the zionist economy...they are in sooooooo much debt, and the more people boycott and harder it hits them

Filet portion - best to AVOID - see below
http://eathalal.org/mcdonalds.htm
Dear eathalal
Thank you for your enquiry and interest in McDonald's.
We are not currently in a position to increase our menu range by offering Halal products in the UK due to operational considerations, e.g.: limited kitchen space, the need for separate equipment and appropriate segregation of product. There are also infrastructure considerations, and we are not presently able to create a separate supply chain, production lines, or distribution and warehousing arrangements.
I would also like to explain that all our products are cooked separately, beef patties are cooked on a griddle and our Filet, French Fries, Apple Pies and Vegetable Deluxe are cooked in vegetable oil using dedicated cooking vats. These vats are exclusively for the purpose of cooking a specific product and that product alone.
For your information, when the vegetable oil is filtered at the end of the day, the same piece of equipment is used to filter all the cooking vats. If the restaurant in question does not have self-filtering stations, the order of filtration is as follows: French Fries; Apple Pies; Vegetable Deluxe; chicken products; Filet. This rotation is used in order to avoid cross contamination of different flavours. As previously stated, our beef based products are cooked on a griddle and there is therefore no need to filter these products.
I hope that I have been able to reassure you of McDonald's cooking procedures, attention to detail and unequivocal dedication to offering only the highest quality products to our customers, at all times.
Finally, thank you for taking the time and trouble to write to us on this subject. We will, of course regularly review the situation as part of our on-going menu development activity.

Dear Christina
Thank you for your recent mail regarding the cooking methods at McDonalds.
Could you please clear up some confusion regarding the oil filtration order? Assuming there are no self-filtration machines available at a particular outlet, can we assume that if one piece of equipment is used to filter all the cooking vats, then cross-contamination will surely occur, due to the fact that the Filet follows the chicken products in the filtration order? Does this not mean that the Filet products at these stores can be deemed NOT to be suitable for Muslims, for the above reason?
I would greatly appreciate some feedback on this potential problem.
Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance in this matter.
Kind Regards
eat well
eathalal
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear eathalal
Thank you for contacting us again in response to our e-mail.
I can assure you that whilst every possible precaution is taken in order to prevent cross contamination during the filtering process, we cannot categorically state that this would never occur.
Thank you once again for taking the time and trouble to contact us.
Kind Regards
Christina Ledward

Following the above, eathalal advises all Muslims to enquire within their local McDonalds, as to whether Self-Filtration equipment is available there, in which case the Filet o' Fish would be acceptable for a Muslim diet. If not, eathalal would advise all Muslims to avoid this product, as it's Halal status would be deemed as questionable.

MashAllah good for you dude. There's a whole load more out there. You can request a boycott israeli goods card from Islamic Human Rights Commission at info@ihrc.org and you can get the reasons why by checking out www.inminds.co.uk inshAllah

I dont go out of my way to boycott Israel but if i see some fruit and its says product of Israel on it i put it down and get something else instead, our whole family boycotts Israel. I think if i had been old enough i would have boycotted South Africa too.
I have been to Marks and Spencers before, but didnt buy anything :D lol we are more "Jew" then the Jews :rotfl:
But out of interest is M&S actually Jewish? I know it was started by a Jew but since then management has changed quite a few times and i think its a British family that owns it now, although i have to double check
Same with Coca Cola and McDonalds, people often say they are Jewish, but are they actually owned by Jewish families??? was Ray Kroc founder of McDonalds Jewish?
For example BHS is a Jewish store, because the owner is a Jew called Robert Greene, Miss Selfridges, and Burtons are also owned by Greene. Ann Summers is another Jewish-owned shop owned by the Gold family.
But what about Coca Cola and McDonalds? Not that i actually buy their products, but we keep hearing these stories of how they are Jewish owned, well are they? anyone bothered to check? :coolbro:

They are not jewish but they support Israel. M&S is still jewish afaik, and also on the boycott Israel list.
There is no reason to boycott someone just for being Jewish, (it says in the Qur'an that we are allowed to do business with non Muslims that do not persecute us or drive us from our homes) - the boycott is against those who support Israel. (who persecute Palestinians and destroy their homes etc as we all know) Not all Jews support Israel, not all supporters of Israel are Jewish.

RESEARCH FINDINGS :
From 1966 onward Coca-Cola has been a stauch supporter of Israel.[4]
In 1997 the Government of Israel Economic Mission honored Coca-Cola at the Israel Trade Award Dinner for its continued support of Israel for the last 30 years and for refusing ro abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel. [1]
[ In contrast Pepsi abided by the Arab League boycott of Israel which ended in May 1991, after 1992 Pepsi is also trading in Israel - see [2] ]
In 2001 the Coca-Cola World Headquarters hosted and was the main sponser of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala.[5].
It has ben revealed that Coca-Cola Israel sponsers training programs for its workers on subjects including the Israeli-Arab conflict. The course content is created by a company funded by the Jewish Agency and the Israeli government.[6]
In February 2002, Coca-Cola teamed up with "Friends of Israel" and National Hillel to cosponser a lecture given by the infamous zionist correspondent Linda Gradstein at the University of Minnesota.[3]
In July 2002, it has been announced that Coca-Cola, in return for millions in incentives from the Israeli government, is to build a new plant on stolen Palestinian land at Kiryat Gat.[7]
In October 2005, Coca-Cola increased its investment in Israel by buying a 51 percent controlling interest in the Tavor Winery.[11]

I would like to boycott Israeli goods but they hide their control of everything behind fronts. Jews control almost every big corporation in the World.
The Jews own almost all the real estate in America and Europe, they control the media (even Al Jazeera), the big banks, the internet and all the diamonds in the World. They own the Saudi oil fields, the oil in Kurdistan, Nigeria, Lybia and Venezuela, and most of the manufacturing plants in China. You can't spend a penny on anything without a greedy capitalist Jew getting a 50% cut. What can we do?

Mashallah this is a good campaign. However, the blood of our brothers is not just in Israeli hands, but also British, American, Russian, Indian, etc. Israel is just a small piece of our problems and this is a globalized world- these corporations are the parent companies of many smaller ones, and the money is spread around. Though I cannot really think of a way to stop giving my money to all countries that oppress Muslims but inshallah we will try.
