Assalam Alaykum and Welcome to Salman's guide to Inserting google/youtube videos on Ummah multimedia for Dummies.
Google Video:
1. Search/select the video you would like to insert in the Multimedia section.
2. Once you have selected the video, click the blue bar which says "email - blog - post to myspace".
3. This will come up with several links, you need to click on 'embed html', this will generate a code <embed blah blah..>
4. Highlight the code using the mouse, then left click and select copy, this will copy the code to the clipboard.
5. Log into Ummah forums using your OWN username and password (no accont sharing allowed).
6. Goto Multimedia section of the forum selecting the appropriate sub section to create a new thread. Now left click the mouse again and select paste, this will paste the embed code in the new post. (remember the code you copied from google.. yeah that one). :up:
7. At this stage, you must pause and think if posting this video is really what you want, if the answer is yes, by all means go ahead adn click submitt post.
8. Sit back and enjoy the video.
Oh! I think it only works with Firefox (alternative browser to internet explorer).
