How do we make Du'a?

I'm grateful that brothers and sisters say you should make du'a at certain times, but how do you make dua? could someone explain to me please? I ask because I think I know, but its best to hear from others :)

i make dua that is from heart andnot a ritual emotion thing

a dua is from the heart when u tell your loved one how much u luv them and r ungrateful tae them and how much they mean tae u and when u pour your heart and pain and happines tae them

thats how a dua is for me, i pour my heart tae my lord, my friend and my creator and my king



my lord the one i luv the most, my heart and mind and soul is linked tae him he knows what is in my heart and my mind and the pain and happiness and what i need and how much i need him and even if im low and aint the best of muslims i luv him and try my best tae be a better muslim but i fall short etc
