Dedicated nasheed hosting..your thaughts..

I have been overlooking these forums for quite some time now...I have just signed up...

I noticed that links to nasheeds, naats, songs, poems etc are all at random different places...If it isn't rapishare, its putfile, if it isnt that its something else. As a result their is MASS advertisement, and at one point I have a virus now...It has been sorted out though.

I was wondering what your thaught are for me to fund a special place strictly for Islamic Multimedia. It could be from lectures to nasheeds. Any sort of multimedia that is acceptable amongst the community...

This way, people can upload their multimedia and it can be pre-approved. Meaning it will go live immediately but if its unacceptable, it will be removed later...

This way, if you want something, you can ask someone to put it up for you, and you can keep checking back for new things, without need to browse multiple sites.
Videos > Lectures
Videos > Nasheeds
Videos > QnA (questions and answers)
Videos > Islamic History
Audio > Lectures
Audio > Nasheeds
Audio > Albums
Audio > Burda

Etc etc...

Anything is possible, but it is up to the community to decide if you want me to fund this, as a place specially for multimedia...
Considering their are alot of members, everyone can have a chance to upload to get things going, but an account would be required for uploading content, and downloading can be made available without need to register.
This method makes it swift and easy to use

If I make this happen, it will only be because the community want it...If you don't feel free to shove this thread in the "useless" forum...
If it does happen, feel free to donate to keep the project alive...

And one thing from me that is NOT acceptable is banner advertisements or popups etc. (only text link to Ummah forum)

I can have a domain registered for this, and organise hosting, and work on a dynamic website which will allow for uploading and downloading alike...

Also I am after the nasheed Mawlay but I think its a variant as it is in the same tone, but it doesnt repeat Mawlaya salli wa salim.... instead "muhammed dun kah tah mun..." I heard it on MATV and I fell in love with it!

PS. Forgot to introduce myself... Im 18, from England, and have alot of time on my hands, I thaught after (quite recently, doing a bad crime) I would give something back to the community as I am usually always silent but take alot of knowledge from forums and lectures alike...I think this is my way of getting involved...

Sorry I forgot to mention that, obviously their will be need for people (preferably those who are highly respected in this community) to moderate and keep the multimedia site a clean place...Should the project go ahead, I think the community can decide who wants to be privaledged and take on responsibility to keep the multimedia clean, and enjoyable for everyone...

I don't think it is neccesary to integrate a comments system as this forum would play a big role into keeping it alive and active...But I think if you want an RSS feed can be integrated (updates to the database can be sent to your browser like an email, or to your cell phone or mobile device)

Ofcourse breaching copyright is unacceptable unless their is prior consent.

Should there be people willing to upload copyrighted nasheeds (they will be blocked by moderators, could be reviewed and consent could be attempted, if not, then removed)

But if it can be arranged, a subscription service can be launched, for access to copyright content, BUT only if it is agreed by the owners of the content, in such a case, the subscription royalties and any fees of any kind, would be forwarded to the copyright owner...
Although that is NOT a feasable idea...it could be a option...for those who would want to oppt-in (not jus members but copyright holders too) I guess that would be a long shot...
