Well, i'm a little bit poetic, and I wrote this poem.
I believe Israel is still the nation chosen by God, but they do not honour their God who returned their nation to them and they go their own way, and do what seems good in their own eyes.
The Lord uses the Arab nations, to punish Israel for their sins, for neglecting their duties to the Lord their God.
The Arab nations will never conquer Israel for the Lord Himself protects Israel, but they do inflict punishment upon Israel which is allowed by God Himself.
That is kinda what this poem is about.

Hear O' beloved nation Israel
This is what the Lord has to tell

The Lord Your God is one
That is what you may profess with your tongue

You may love Him with all your heart, mind and strength
May the measure of your love be taller than your length

You are chosen by Him as His nation as a witness
You are an elect nation, and nothing less

Yet, beautifull Israel, you dwell among the gentiles
Practise arts of which the Lord says that it defiles

You give praise and glory to your leaders and generals
But the Lord is hardly remembered even on your funerals

Israel o' Israel, why do you forsake the Lord your God?
Why do you prance around with a pridefull strot?

Remember the Lord your God, and turn to Him
And He will cleanse you, remove your dreadfull sin

He Has promised to never remove you from your land again
But He can still pour plagues upon you, from which the nations of old ran.

Be wise o beatifull Israel, and do not tempt the Lord
For His wrath is dreadfull, He will punish you with the sword

Uproot you He will not, remove you He will not
But He will bring down all those with a pridefull strot

O' Israel, please return to your status as light of the nations
Please become a stronghold for us in all situations

O Israel, chosen one by the Lord,
Do return to His holy word.
