I think 4 months of being here, 1000 posts, know someone in person and all that is a bit too over the board. I wonder if the brother's forum is just as strict or no one cares who gets in there?

Anyways, i'm on sister's side but on other forums :D they are less strict and bit more realistic :rubeyes:

Brothers is not as strict but in the sisters area we do share pictures, and naturally caution is more with sisters pics as people may show without hijab, and niqaabi sisters show pics with their faces etc.
Brothers of course there area is still private but if ne access mistake happened n someone saw their pic, noone will see more than wat could b seen on the street, but for sisters that aint the case. Its for the benefit of everyone, and so that people feel at ease.

no i totally understand that, and i guess in the long run it is better that way, but its still not 100% male proof if you know wat i mean.....

On the form which u fill in, it asks about 400 posts but we approve applications one by one and practically I dont think we would approve below 1000 unless its someone we know personally offline

so normally you approve if its 1000 but if you know someone personally then it doesn't matter how many posts they have. um isn't that like prejudice and favoritism?

No, if we know someone personally then we have no doubt about them/their femaleness. So the fact of knowing someone is worth more than 1000 posts. When we don't know someone we have to trust the info and feel we get of the person through reading their posts, so obviously it takes time to get the idea of a person and for all the sister admins to feel comfortable with the user which is the purpose of waiting a number of months and til a certain post count is gained.

btw its not just people who I know personally, but there are about of us sister admins, or even if a bro admin knows a sister n tells us we would prob accept, and if other users who have access know someone n they vouch for them we also might accept it
