use a google transalator on the youtube site it should work just fine.
there might be ONE solution..... i never put it to use, but in theory it should work.
try this. with the pc you have at home (hopefully u have broadband), pop in a linux live cd (unless u have linux installed on the HD in which case this is rendered redundant), and open up remote logins.
basically what i'm getting at is, from work, you log into your home pc, take control of it, and then since you'll be running a thin client session, you should be able to use any site that works at home. heck u can even use all the programs on ur comp and edit documents from work. u'd have no restrictions whatsoever.
if anyone can, then try this and let me know how it goes. this is just basically like "goto my pc" type thing, except using linux...

lol belal why is it redundant if you have linux installed?
and do you mean remote logins as in using vnc? in my experience (bad experience lol) vnc is VERY slow even over broadband...i did it from school...got in a lot of trouble :( (they thought i was tryna comprimise the school network or summin  shidayn...)
or is there another way of logging in graphically, remotely, thats fast? i heard of freenx but dunno what it is...is it hard to set up??

yeh.. basically thats what it is.. remote log-in is similar to VNC... and yeh it is a suck on system resources...
Opening ports and whatnot for remote logins... you have to be carefull and make sur eyou have a decent firewall... as these cana be scanned and compromise the system!
belal.. what you say should work.. but i suspect. if Sevens pad (workplace) has a proxy Web server.,. most likely the ports on which you would go out on would be blocked, unless he manages to go out on port80!
interesting... someone shout if they get it working..! i can;t even try here.. no access to firewalls and proxy server! :(
ok... i think i've figured it out... but it's a bit long winded
use the youtube ip: http://208.65.153.241
search for what ever you want to watch, then use this website to download the video :D http://keepvid.com/

its redundant if you already have linux installed because the point is to use linux in the first place. i only assumed he's not a linux user. he could also use a linux live cd but running a system through live cd is alot slower and gives problems sometimes (or rather many times in my case).
and yes i was talking about vnc like feature. but I was actually talking about freenx. vnc is terribly slow and i think everyone knows that who used it before. but freenx supposedly has far better performance.

that's true, its possible his workplace has those ports blocked but couldnt he figure out which ports are open? i'm sure nmap would come in handy :coolbro:

huh
wait...so your saying he should put a linux live cd in his home computer, then at his windows computer at work he should connect to his home computers which is running a linux live cd using freenx?
in which case...if you had linux installed at home you could use freenx still?

i said, if he didn't have linux at home, then he could use a linux live CD. however if he did have linux, then he wouldn't need the live cd. it would be kinda redudant firing up a linux live CD on a linux system. instead doesn't it make more sense to fire up a linux live cd on a windows system?
so yes.

best solution bro
wait till you go home and use youtube..
wats so good about it man
what if you try putting youtube as atrusted site.. or where it says bypass proxy..
now they've gone and blocked all internet email sites, all games sites and all proxy sites :(
that's weak. you should probably listen to ghuraba bhai, and just wait till you go home to use youTube. However....regarding blocking game sites that's beef. you should complain to IT :coolbro:
or, just go home, download winkawaks, mame, zsnes, download all the games you like to play. set everything up so all u'd have to do is copy to cd-r, then actually burn it. take it to work the next morning, and when no one is looking, fire up winkawaks and enjoy a game or two of Marvel Super Heroes versus Street Fighter (or whatever you like) :coolbro:

why cant these IT guys let us be.
Never :D
Normally. there are three proxy addresses to surf the net at work.
The 1st address is for normal people - who can only access some websites
The 2nd address is for managers and other IT staff - basically that allows access to all sites except (Violence, Racist, Adult etc ; )
The 3rd address, is the one i use along with some of my IT guys colleagues, basically that address is outside of the companies firewall. Which is like you using your broadband at home
Obviously other companies administratered internet access differently, some use admin software to increase or descrease access to the internet of their employees .... but i dont wanna bore you by explaining that to ya :D
