Hotmail has stopped working in firefox on linux. I get this ad which covers all the controls at the top and can't seem to remove the ad. I click on the "close" button on the ad but then it gives me another which has no close button...

How can I forward all my hotmail emails to another account like gmail?

Hotmail is a useless waste of time, i've got about 11 emails there and i can't check it because somehow my password has changed.

Could be.

People's been doing it with my yahoo mail too, so it wouldn't come as a suprise to me if they did it to my hotmail too.

if M$ is being "crafty" then you can be "craftier." just grab the user agent switcher extension for firefox and switch your user agent to windows xp/ie6. that way when you goto hotmail.com, the server will think you're on xp and ie6.

if all else fails, just grab the sidenet tools, and install ie6. it's pretty easy to install IE6 and 5.5 with wine via sidenet. :coolbro:

by the way....why the heck are you using hotmail of all mail services? yahoo i'd understand, gmail is fine, heck even aol's @aim is fine, but HOTMAIL? OoOoOOoOoOoooo.....

I think i'm gonna register a domain name and install a e-mail server on my own host...... atleast that way i'd skip all this bull$%&# from these companies...

theres a way...cant remember it lol

hotmail doesnt have pop3 support does it?

and belal isnt that just expensive? use gmail  (and if you dont like their interface, for whatever reason (i thinks its great :D) you can use pop3 and smtp...unlike m$ they help you with that ;))

and you can even have pop3 from other emails with the gmail interface

I think my email has been compromised. Some email dating to 1999 always appears at the bottom of my 100+ plus emails, even though I opened this yahoo email account in 2004. weird. any clues?

i like gmail and all...but lately i've started to become more and more suspicious of google and their back room "handshakes" with governments.

their "do no evil" slogan is starting to look as good as microsoft's open source initiatives..... which is basically ghorar deem.

and it's not really expensive if you think about it. i mean how much does a domain name cost? u get a domain name and host the mail server on ur own pc. or better yet, i know some web hosts which basically let you register a domain name and they host an e-mail server for u for about 20 to 25 USD a year. now that's pretty damn cheap ... and you have total control.

I would do that right now, except I'm kinda in financial trouble. but mann, the minute I find a decent job to pay my tuition, then i'm gonna do that.
