DOes anyone know where i can get a downloadable copy of Article 189 of the European Economic Community Act :banghead:

I have tried to find it online but all I get is little transcripts and references not the whole article :confused:

I have Blackstone Ec Legislation by Nigel Foster 2006-20076 but I cant find it in there! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blackstones-EC-Legislation-Statute-Book/dp/0199288186:S,

Article 189

For the achievement of their aims and under the conditions provided for in this Treaty, the Council and the Commission shall adopt regulations and directives, make decisions and formulate recommendations or opinions.

Regulations shall have a general application. They shall be binding in every respect and directly applicable in each Member State.

Directives shall bind any Member State to which they are addressed, as to the result to be achieved, while leaving to domestic agencies a competence as to form and means.

Decisions shall be binding in every respect for the addressees named therein.

Recommendations and opinions shall have no binding force.

ITs basically about direct effect and an individuals right to bring a case against the member state for their failure to correctively implement a directive from the eec, but I cant find it in my legisaltion book :(
