minidisc - like a CD but smaller and has more space
dictafone - a lil recording device thingy that u use wen ur in lectures but not really listening.... :rolleyes:

U got it right yeah, but what i was after was to know is there a thing u can buy which is a combo of all 3 things.

Sis Muslimah...as far as i know there is no such combination of the three. Firstly...you can get a sole MP3 player/recorder but as for it working as a dictaphone i am not sure. Additionally any recordings which you would put on it would have to be in the Mp3 format.

A mini disc player/recorder is a much better option. It works on similar principles as a Discman but the size is a lot smaller. If you decide to go for one of these get a MD recorder as it enables editing features/dictaphone features which you are after. Additionally...with some you can get small microphones for them which you place on a table (about 5 cm long and 2 cm wide...very small) which amplify the sound for better recordring. These MD recorders are limited to 70-80 minute recording times...and the disc you get work similar to 1.44 floppy's.

So sis...the best thing that i would recommend is going for a MD recorder...the fact that you can edit then and there means that if your recording you can cut out all useless parts and even make a best of disc :).

Hope that helps...as for some places to look just type in MD recorders in a search engine...generally sony and sharp have quality.

Anyway, i'll keep looking.

Just to double check- the model mentioned it can be used as a dictaphone? ie- i can take it to my lectures and record my lecture?
