How does someone wipe out the major sins? I pray salat al-Tahajjud everyday and I say "Istaghfar Allah wa atubu Elayeh" over 100 times a day.
But I'm still worried I'm not doing enough.

Sincere Repentence Bro, = Begging for forgiveness, not going back to the sin, making a big effort to stay away from the sin and regret. These come from the heart and soul. Some people are so introspective or self analytical they sometimes doubt whether they are sincere enough. This is a sign of Iman too , one can say
As a person leaves the Evil deeds, one should strive to do more good deeds and acts of Ibadaah such as Salaat, Reading the Quran, and making Dhikir of Allah swt. This cleanses us of our sins inshAllah.
May Allah grant us strength and perserverance.

The Prophet :saw: said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: 'Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta." The Prophet added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."
Allah's Apostle :saw: said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea," Volume 8, Book 75, Number 414, Narrated Abu Huraira.
As Brother Arsalan said, just ask for forgiveness in all sincerity and Allah will frogive you, He is the All-Forgiving.

No one will be able to tell you if you're sins will be wiped away. The dua's and links provided have a lot of benefit but that saying them does not gurantee forgiveness. Allah is very forgiving and if your intention is to get close to him and you follow the guidelines of repentance (making wudu, weeping in private, supplication, etc. as Arsalan listed) you are doing everything that is in your power. Repentance has guidelines but you will only know if you were successful, whether the sin was major or minor, on the Day of Judgement. May Allah forgive you and the all of us for our sins and grant us jannah. Ameen.
