Salams, what i would like to know is, what is the minimum amount of gold that you have to have in order to pay zakat on, (i have been told different amounts)and can u deduct the weight of the stones (saphires, diamonds ect) it would be to difficult to remove the stones in the rings then have them put back in. or do you pay zakat on the stones as if they are gold?

The nisaab amount is 87.48 grams for gold... The amount is fixed so you shouldnt be gettin mixed answers at all

oh thank you brother, i know know i am underthe nisab amount, i did find out that there is no zakat payable on gem stones, i also read some where that i dont count the jewerly that i wear , just the stuff i dont or is that incorrect?
