As Salaamu Alaikum,
Masha'Allah it's a really nobile cause, and helping people get married is Sadaqah jarya isn't it? May Allah (swT) reward you for your good works, Ameen.
Ma'aSalaama
(I haven't seen it yet) pass this site to arsalan in case he's interested.
arsalan...who is this? And why him/her in particular?
Anyone registered on this site or passed it on to other brothers and sisters? :o

arsalan is married
There are new members added for both sisters and brothers, who are looking, Insha-Allah :)
Please have a look and pass on to others who are not on the forum too, shukrann!

I ain't seen the site, but s/o describe what 'practisin'' means?
I wouldn't describe someone who prays, fasts, gives zakat, declares shahadah, has beard / wears hijab as practisin'.

Well, someone who is trying and carries out their obligatory tasks as (much) they can.
What would you say? :)

I am saddened that you do not have any space on your site for those who wish to practice polygamy.

Asalamu alaykum ghanamuslima
Takwallah. You do not know what's in the hearts of the brothers who enter into debate on this site. I, your brother in islam if you was to see me in the flesh. I think you would think twice with what you say.
Fear Allah (swt) in all that you do and say.

My dear sister in Islam,
I will not debate this in an open forum, but your brother in Islam has very good reason why he needs another zawjah. I fear Allah (swt) and the last day. And I believe in the halal, and I try to always stay away from the haram.

ok, good luck to you
and if you marry again then may Allah give you the strength to treat both wives with care, inshallah
I checked out the site. It's not really your typical matrimonial site is it?
I don't think that finding a spouse on the net is wise though. There's just something weird about it. I mean what if you don't like what the person looks like when you finally meet? All that chatting online will be down the drain. It's quite risky isn't it?
I find it odd that you request $10 down payment when there are plenty of sites that can do it for free? Why not instead have people donate by linking to help orphans like muslimshands or something? Forcing to give donations...I don't know sounds iffy :\.
Internet match ups are horrible. Too many factors that will, can hurt/crush a good practicing Muslim brother (I had that experience as have a few of my other friends). Many of the people that look online have been either married or committed some major sins before hand (I said most not all so lets not go into a flame war :D).
:jkk: for ALL your responses...:)
1st of all, there is an option on the site that keeps your status as private, which could mean you are looking for another marriage partner,
2nd, all work is done voluntarily, the domain name was bought by some brother, the website is hosted for free, it's running is all done free in ones own time, posters were printed (gloss) free...The money/donation is collected and passed on to MUSLIM ORPHANS, soon the receipts will be shown online, and other charities will be also be approached soon, Insha-Allah
There are sisters who are on benefits, and NO MONEY is taken from them - no proof was asked either, a MUSLIMS word is more than enough, as he/she will be questioned.
And finally all money is given, not a penny is kept. It's an encouragement to start off on a good way with good intention, and we hope Allah will make a way of blessing for those who are true and honest.
Do do your bit and circulate the link in your emails for muslims that you know ARE practising, and your reward is there also.
:salams

If a sister see's a brothers profile she is interested in, then we seek permission from the brother to pass on his telephone/email details to the sisters walee. Like wise for the brothers...
The internet is used a a 'communication' tool and Insha-Allah for good reasons too.
There are occasions where questions may be passed on to the other person, which the moderator will check/read and act like a 3rd person. ;)
