Best Graphics card to buy

i just bought a XFX Nvidia 7300 GS and it is inadequate for games such as Neverwinter Nights 2 or Scarface

the performance is very poor very choppy under 10 FPS


i am considering purchasing the ATI X1650 pro


does anybody have any suggestions?

anandtech is saying 7300 GS is as good as a 6200. Another thing is, this is a BUDGET card so basically you shouldn't really run anything higher than 800x600 depending on the game. Also what are your system specs? and what settings are you running the games under? You can't expect to run everything in HIGH. The 7300 uses TURBOCACHE so if you don't have alot of RAM, then the system will bog down the card. After all, the mechanism simply uses system ram to achieve some performance, so low system ram = low card ram = your system is left with even less ram to run everything else, which is windows, background programs and then on top of that the actual game.

if u want serious power check out GeForce 7800 GTX and Radeon X1900 XTX :up:

i just bought the ATI Radeon Sapphire 1650 Pro and it kicks butt

im running everything in high

the 512mb 7300 is a load of crap its not even 512 its a 256 mb DDR mem on card and the rest is divereted from system ram

i'm gonna lay off buying any graphics card for a while. i'm thinking of just getting a console.... that "gears of war" game is only available on the 360 and it wont be coming out on pc.
