do u get asked weird questions wen u go back home? like do u av a bf/gf?
do u eat or drink haram stuff?
how do u dress uo? (girls)
do u get up 2 dodgy stuff... list goes on n on....

once this freshie who was working in mcd's asked this lady how much she earned...and the lady was like 'thats rude'...freshie didnt take hint and was like 'ookaay...approximately yaar'...so the lady goes 'abt 30K'...and freshie throws a hissie fit 'i only earn 5 and hr ...its so not fair'...lady goes 'excuse...i've got a degree and postgrad qualifications...you work in mcd's...go figure'

No one really talked to me when I went bac home :S So they didnt ask us anything like that. They did ask whether we liked pakistan tho :| i said 'its ok' :)
And once these ppl came our house and me n sis pretended we didnt understand them :rotfl: just so we wldnt have to speak to them :rofl1:

back home they ask LOADS of questions which can be VERY annoying.
They ask about how much so and so earns - if so and so is married or rishta done yet, or how much you earn, or how family politics are in UK etc etc.

(i dnt know if ur from pakistan or gujjerat or sumwhere else?) cos in sri lanka there are a fair number who wear it, n its not seen something :eek: of course are also a lot who do wear the standard like shalwar kameez n other clothes, but jilbab doesnt get ne suprise from ppl

It really matters who asks the question. If it's someone who doesn't talk to you, doesn't even spend the time of day with you, all of a sudden comes out of the blue and asks how much you earn, I would find that insulting to say the least.

My family is all pretty relgious in Egypt but....
They though id be coming from America with a tanktop and a mini skirt. They actaully didnt believe that I can keep my religion and still live in America. :rubeyes:
