hey Sis, muslima 89, i find it hard to maintain purdah on front of my cousins its because of my family...no one else wears niqaab and my mums like "its only such and such..." and if we ge a lot of people coming, the outsiders go into the living room but some of the male relatives (bro in laws) come into the family room..coz im the youngest my mums like it doesnt matter, sometimes i get told off incase they think im being stuck up and everyone thinks im being extreme.

i know what you mean sis, it can be awkward sometimes with family, but if you just stick at it, they'll eventually get tired of asking you to take it off and back off. remember, there's no obedience to man in disobedience to Allah Ta'ala. may Allah Ta'ala make it easy for you. ameen

oh i remember that thread.
 when i went 2 Holland with my mum recently, we took the boat from Hull accross to Holland... I think mainly taking the boat was actually those proper low class sun reader type ppl, cos dnt they go over n do that "booze cruise" or something by going to europe for a weekend and coming back?
well anyway... some stupid chav idiot from those people made a really sickening comment to me. Normally I just ignore comments, n this one I did ignore it aswell but cos my mum was also with me n she had to hear it I felt really  The actual comment I cnt type it up n post cos it is THAT disgusting. Astaghfirullah some people are actually the **** of the earth  :(

aslamu alaikum warehmatullahi wabrakatu,
MAy Allah (SWT) make it soo easy for u sis to wear it inshaAllah...
its my desire to wear it tooo ishaAllah..but if u donot have support frm ur family then it gets soo difficult but Alhumdulillah Allah is All-Sufficient. I know that even if i start wearing it most likely my parents are never gonna find out ( inshaALlah Allah Willing)....but e again if u have support frm ur family then Alhumdulillah its easy ...
I know a sister ( i'm mashaAllah reallyly impressed by her) may Allah (SWT) reward her immensley...i just wana share that when the 11 or 13 kids were arrested ( may Allah make it easy for them and forgive them inshaAllah) then i was like subhanAllah the sisters who wear niqaab its going to beee soo difficult for them cuz the newspaper was showing women with niqaabi pics as if they were the culprits ( may Allah reward these women). But Alhumdulillah this sis subhanAllah is soo strong especially wen pple are giving u the stares and passing comment on u and esp wen it is a critical time ....Alhumdulillah
i'm just waiting to get married inshaAllah and then start wearing it...
walaikum aslam warehmatullahi wabrakatu
P.S: most sholars say that niqqaab is not faridah ( or fard) ( as said by Dr Monzer kahf anfd other scolars may Allah perserve them)...but subhanAllah there is such a beauty in seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by being modest and protecting ur chastity....(smile)
Therez a hadith that says (three things i'll share two cuz m not soo sure abt the third)...it says that if a women guards her modesty, is nice to her husband, (and a third one too which i think is related to religion thou m not soo sure)...then she can enter jannah frm whichever gates she want to Alhumdulillah...and remember Abu BAkr (RA) was told by prophet of Allah (PBUH) that he (SAW) hopes that it is Abu Bakr(RA) who all the gates of jannah would call....and Alhumdulillah in this hadith women are also given this privilegde...Islamm is sooooo beautiful and easy Alhumdulillah.
