View Full Version : About Jinns
as salamualaik,
does jinns only appear when ur asleep? ie bothering u when ur asleep?
will a jinn come to you by themselves to be bothersome, or will a jinn only come on instruction?
is it possible that a jinn can bother you for +/-20years if not more, that is like being a pest?

Try get hold of Abu Amina Bilal Philip's Ibn Taymiyyah's essay on Jinn and exorcism...if i'm not mistaken, that's the title of the book. By the way, bro, do u mind narrating some experience or (experience of others) being bothered by jinns? scary it sounds though. But Jinns do exist and they are Muslims and Kaffir Jinns, and Kaffir jinns are the ones that like to bother people. that's what i heard. Jinns coming to bother you by instruction could be a form of sihr. in South East Asia, sihr is rampant, and usually jinn is used by the practitioner.
Read the 3 surah Quls- Al-Ikhlas, an-Nas, al-Falaq, Al-Mulk, ayatul kursiy(before going to bed) and the morning and evening dua's called Mathurat. InshaAllah, you will not be bothered by the Jinns or sihr.

o try also to find the scientific explanation of things that you think disturbances from the jinn and psychological perspective too.
its someone i know, its only that it appears in dreams, but he says its been happening since an early age.
first it used to grab hold of him and "press" him as those who have experienced it says, but lately it just appears, almost tho it only wants to scare him, only sometimes does it do things.
the question his asking is, would a jinn bother you out of his own and for so many years? he says his brother experiences the same.

:nervous: that's scary man. Jinns like human being have freedom of will, in the book that i read (someone borrowed it but never return) there were jinns who embraced Islam during the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW and some jinns said shahadah at the hands of an A'lim in Saudi .:nervous::outta:and kaffir jins that like to bother people.
So, could be that jinn would bother you out of his own choice. Thinking of this I feel grateful that there is such explanation in Islam, if you watched that horror movie the Exorcist (linda blair played that poor girl) and Emily Rose, u pity the girls being exorcised cause they could have been cured and jinns could have been exorcised using Islamic method. I dunno Allahu a'lam.
They are also 10 times stronger than humans because they are made of fire, but the Prophet (PBUH) told them not to come out when people are around. Of course there are among them who are kuffar and they are the ones who persue harm on people.
Isn't Ayat-il-Korseh supposed to ward off any evil?

yes he does read it, and it leaves him for a period but then returns again.
just came across this http://experts.about.com/q/Islam-947/Jinn-Women.htm read the abilities and seen this "Jinns possess people for many reasons. Sometimes it is because the Jinn or its family has been hurt accidentally. It could be because the Jinn has fallen in love with the person."

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,
Yes i know some who have had trouble for years with jinns.
Do you not have any contact with exorcists or anyone that can diagnose jinn magic as the jinns could be sent via magic?

By visiting Muslim lands such as Morocco, one is able to see as to how much inter Jinn-fortune-teller activity there really is. If you look up at the sky on a clear night in Morocco, you will see the heavens ablaze with shooting stars! A clear display of the devils being chased away from the heavens.
i read that article sometime ago, woaaa, i really want to visit morocco now

I honestly believe the closer you are to pleasing Allah the farther away the bad jinns will be so the better you are as Muslim you will not be bothered. The better you are as a Muslim could attract the Muslim Jinn as they love to hear the recitaitons but you would not experience them being there. We should not pay attention to them as they will be judged for their actions as we will be. Lets just be good examples for them without thinking about it. Its like a silent Dawah and you will be rewarded InshAllah

that is whats so hard for me to understand, he performs his salah, quite direct on the deen, yet this happens to him, which makes me think on one's belief system, or as in the article, is the jinn perhaps inlove him, but the thing is, its been there since early age of bout 8 - 10yrs.
its not an everyday thing it more happens on seldom occasions every 2 weeks to a month and sometimes it stays away for few months before returning, it can vary. the funny thing is that he knows when the jinn is in the house, apparently theres a cracking sound in the ceiling that he hears and it seems that makes him aware of the jinns presence.
then too i know, that evil will never enter a home where theres lotsa ibadah, but maybe it will when one becomes lax and becomes vulnerable.
anyone know of islamic websites one can read up on jinn?

it could be a test bro, could be the jinn has been having a huge "crush" on your friend but since 8(?).... well, it could happen. there's an alim here in malaysia who is also an exorcist and uses Islamic method of exorcism. Very famous. but i dont think your friend could come all the way from South AFrica(?) to malaysia, do a search on alim in your country who can exorcise the jinn then inshaAllah.

but doubt if it had a crush it would wanna "scare" him. doubt he'd wanna fly all the way to malaysia :-) here are people that can do it, but the thing is he believes he can rid it himself or handle the situation himself with Allah's help. told him yes thats how it should be and that he should keep up his ibadah and reading but if his already doing all that then there is something else thats "wrong", and told him there are people who knows more about jinn and that could help through Allah's assistance ofcorse, anyways thus why im looking for more info on jinn or islamic websites.

in that case, all the best to your friend then, sometimes it takes some psychological strength to deal with problem like this.
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,
Some practicing muslims have been effected by jinns even though they recite quran and pray alot. Allah tests us in many ways and ultimate shifaa is from Allah.
Some muslims can diagnose and treat these problems without seeing the patient. Does anyone have contacts with these sorts of exorcists?
I suggest you read this book too, you can get it from any Darussalaam store:
The Jinn and Human Sickness - Remedies in the light of the Qur'aan and sunnah, Dr. Abul-Mundhir Khaleel ibn Ibraaheem Ameen
Book review: (http://www.islamicgoodsdirect.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/3351)
The subject of the jinn is one which is of interest to many people. Folk stories abound, and many superstitious practices have arisen in Muslim cultures with regard to protection againest the jinn. Many myths surround the ideas of the evil eye and envy, and there are many strange notions surrounding illnesses such as epilepsy and mental illness, which are often thought of as being caused by the jinn.
This book cuts through all the confusion and identifies correct Islamic teachings on all these subjects. The jinn are real and they can indeed harm humans, but this book will teach you how to protect yourself in the manner taught by the prophet (SAWS).
Break free from fear, superstition and fairy stories. and familiarize yourself with the teachings of Islam on these important aspects of spirituality which the author presents here, drawing on the texts of the Qur'an and Sunnah and the writings of the respected scholars of Islam.

1)Na'am, jinns can appear when you are asleep, there is a known one that "holds you" down as you lay asleep.
2) Allah knows best
3) A jinn can bother you all your life, some people can be possesed their entire life and they don't even know..
And Allah knows best.

So does Waseem still come to you....and may I ask why he comes to you? Is it just to 'hang around' or for spiritual advice or something of that sort?

Brother this is VERY common for those who encounter jinns....
People who encounter jinns, that i have met personally usually spend more time in the masaajid and are usually accompanied by s mowlana....again, these are just people i have met, who have encountered jinns.
A brother in our local masjid.......very humble brother masha'Allah....unfortunately has encounters with jinns, who irritate him. He sometimes is caught yelling or shouting in the middle of the masjid and brothers around him comfort him with duas to pray. He literally shouts things like "I see Him!" or "He's Coming after me!"....It's a very unfortunate state....but this only happens to him from time to time....
May Allah make him free of all evil possesions and help him to regain absolute peace. Ameen.

anyone know of islamic websites one can read up on jinn?
http://www.thejinn.net/ tons of info
http://muslimconverts.com/ (scroll down on the left side and find jinn then when the page loads there are a ton of links on the right side
Read Surrah Al-Baqarrah and the jinn will flee from your house or wherever you happen to be at the time. And then to protect you from any harm they might cause you, read Ayat al-Korsee. May Allah protect you and all the Muslims.
