Asalam Alaikum:)
i bought a leather trousers
anyway it is written that it's 100% polyester! well, i don't think that they mean the Exterior part because it looks like the leather? anyway i want to know can they create such fabric (like the leather) by using polyester if so does it contain any animal source ?

It's called pleather here and it's 100% synthetic.There are no animal products in it. I am more concerned about why you would be buying leather pants in the first place :eek:

Pleather is a catch all name for synthetic leather. If it's really that good that it's hard to tell from the real thing then it's probably naugahyde which is a fake leather made from plastic. BTW Polyester is a form of plastic.
you can tell if leather is real by burning it right? and if its real it won't shrivel up and melt like synthetic fibres?
wanna test it out? :D

take a cotton swab and soak it in vinegar and then swab a spot down around the cuff of the pants and let it dry. If it's synthetic it won't affect it but if it's real leather it will make a little dark spot where you swabbed it.

Doe skin is the hide from a female deer. Buck skin is similiar but it's a little stiffer

THAANX :D so it doesn't contain any animal source or any haram *alcohol* :P in it Alhamdulilah i was asking that 'cause some body told me and i read that if ur leather is genuine and that animal wasn't slaughtered islamicly then u should change ur clothes to pray, because they consider to be unclean.

If it is leather, it will create a darker spot even if it is dyed. If it's a plastic, it won't be affected by the alcohol. Leather should also absorb the alcohol or any other liquid slightly while a plastic will cause it to bead and it won't be absorbed as readily
