CAN'T COOK, WON'T COOK, DON'T TELL ME HOW TO COOK !

Mediated by Dr Umar Faruq Abd-Allah(Nawawi Foundation,USA)*

Date: Friday 24th November 2006
Time: 6.30pm
Venue: The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE),
University of London, Houghton Street, London WC2A 2AE

Could there be a more frustrating issue plaguing our young people than
gender relations? Despite so much knowledge seeking activities why
are Muslim divorce rates so high ? 1 in 10 now divorced. Why do an
increasing number of brothers go back to the Muslim countries to
find a bride ? Are sisters in the UK too demanding or arrogant ?
What do we do with sisters over 30 ? Is there any hope ? Polygamy ?
Misyar marriages ? Marry non-Muslim men at least they are more
chivalrous ?

With all the communications at the dispose of our finger tips why
is so hard to find what you want ?

Why do I break out into a sweat each time my eyes meet that of a
Muslim
sister/brother, and yet it's easy to talk to Sally, Mandy or Tom? What
if we just want to be friends? Why are all the good men and women
taken?

Are men really from Mars and women from Venus ?

Na'am- my thoughts exactly, the gov. funded and helped establish this RMW thingy so must have their hands in it in some way or another. :(

Akhi I think you should concentrate on the scholars that attend events organised by them and then you'll see that it's nothing dodgy.

Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah(with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf)
Imam Suhaib Webb
Dr Umar Faruq Abdullah
Amr Khaled(not a scholar but nice guy)
and many more..

Do you seriously think that these guys are being controlled by the government?

Please dont pick individuals from this list and attempt to defame them just think twice. :)

I've seen the list of 'approved' scholars by the RMW whom the gov. seems to love thus providing funding, visas, and blessings.

I beg to differ with you that theirs nothing dodgy as this http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100744 as well as few other proofs points otherwise.

I seriously think that many of the RMW lot are controlled by the gov. directly and indirectly, surely this is cannot be disputed, as for the scholars listed and the likes of Mark Hamza Yusuf Hanson I am convinced they are being manipulated into spreading the gov. message to the Muslim masses, they may be concious of this or not so.

Allahu Alam.

(I thought through many time not just twice- free thinking without governmentalist input and spin on Islaam and came to this conclusion, and didn't cherry pick any name from that list either, soooo masha'allahs to me than. ;))

(Theirs a bit of hint in there somewhere ;)- just incase you missed it I thought I should point it out! :p Only kidding Akhy.)

Would you like some more material in regards to the RMW project lot and how their shoulder to shoulder feet to feet with the gov. in their 'War against Terror'? :(
