Salams,

No disrespect intended, just a question to get a better understanding.

The phrase ''The people of the Book'' is often refered to Jews and Christians.

BUT the Christians were never given a 'book', so why are they included in this term?

What does ''The people of the Book'' actually mean?

Jazak Allah

They follow a book, it's called the New Testament, or the gospels. It's a little complicated as to how they recieved the 'book', so I don't have time to explain that now.
