I didnt start praying now. I started ages ago. But it was a rubbish attempt at praying! Everything was wrong about it. The wudu, ruckoo, sujood.....all wrong. Until few weeks ago were i started to get my act together and pray proberly. (meaning finding out knowledge about everything, not just praying the correct way)

anyway, so the salat is invalid if I'm not at 90 degrees?

salaams!!
its ur fav sis!! :D

If your body doesnt allow you to bend to 90 degrees then what you going to do?!..your body is not that flexible so its not ur fault..or is it?..so inshaAllah make dua to Allah and you will be fine..remeber Allah is most merciful most kind..u are obviously trying your best and Allah does not wish to put His servants in difficulty.

As my 'Maulana' use to say, you must stand in front of the mirror and practice...put a glass of water on your back, every time it drops, punish yourself by sitting in the 'chicken' position for 10 minutes...

Its not that difficult surely! This is not shaolin ;)

I dont see any reason why a person cant manage it unless they have a medical reason.

Haha, I guess it is for some people. Its like touching your toes, some people just cant do it because they havent got the 'bendiness'...which I guess is why you pracitce...

you might have a stiff back? try some stretching exercises before praying.... otherwise when doing rukoo you'll be concentrating on bending 90degrees and not on your rukoo!

salat isnt meant to be a hardship. some people suffer from illnesses, arthritis, backaches, posture problems. if necessary, you are allowed to sit during salat(due to illness, etc.) you know yourself and your limits

the most important thing is, you dont abandon your salat
