There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. [042:011]
Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was standing among us and he told us five things. He said: Verily the Exalted and Mighty Allah does not sleep, and it does not befit Him to sleep. He lowers the Scale and lifts it. The deeds in the night are taken up to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night. His veil is the light. In the Hadith narrated by Abu Bakr (instead of the word "light") it is fire. If he withdraws it (the veil), the splendor of His countenance would consume His creation so far as His sight reaches.
No vision can grasp Him, but He grasps all vision. He is Al-Latîf (the Most Subtle and Courteous), the Well-Acquainted (with all things). [006:103]
'A'ishah's Hadith, may Allah be pleased with her.
Masruq reported: I was resting (at the house of) 'A'ishah when she said: O Abu 'A'ishah, there are three things, and he who affirmed even one of them fabricated the greatest lie against Allah. I asked what they were. She said: He who presumed that Muhammad (may peace be upon him) saw his Lord (with his ocular vision) fabricated the greatest lie against Allah. I was reclining but then sat up and said: Mother of the Faithful, wait a bit and do not be in a haste. Has not Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him (Jibrael (Gabriel)) in the clear horizon (towards the east) And And indeed he (Muhammad SAW) saw him (Jibrael (Gabriel)) at a second descent (i.e. another time) She said: I was the first of this Ummah to ask Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) about it. And he said: Verily he is Gabriel. I have never seen him in his original form in which he was created except on those two occasions (to which these verses refer). I saw him descending from the heaven and filling (the space) from the sky to the earth with the greatness of his bodily structure. She asked: Have you not heard Allah saying: No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, Well*Acquainted with all things She (i.e. 'A'ishah) further asked: Have you not heard that, verily, Allah says: It is not given to any human being that Allâh should speak to him unless (it be) by Inspiration, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise She said: He who presumes that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) concealed anything from the Book of Allah fabricates the greatest lie against Allah. Allah says: O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message She said: He who presumes that he would inform about what was going to happen tomorrow fabricates the greatest lie against Allah. And Allah says Say: "None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (unseen) except Allâh"
Subhanallaah, there is nothing like Allaah ta'aala, his infinite beautiful attributes are nothing like ours, he mercy is nothing like ours, his anger is nothing like ours, may he be thanked by everone, although that would not be enough.
If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [016:018]
Asalam alaikum, nice to be here.:)
