mother of the poor( not part of the quizz since I'm not Alld :D
Zaynab bint Khuzayma, may Allah be pleased with her, was married to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Ramadan, 4 AH, soon after his marriage to Hafsa when he was fifty-six years old and she was thirty years old. After she had been made a widow when her husband was martyred at Badr, she offered herself in marriage to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who accepted her proposal and married her. Zaynab bint Khuzayma was so generous to orphans and the poor that she came to be known as the 'Mother of the Poor'. She died only eight months after her marriage, may Allah be pleased with her, and although not a great deal is known about her today, there will be many who will testify to her generosity on the Last Day.

Qibaa
the first mosque in Islam
Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.
Which then is best? - he that layeth his foundation on piety to Allah and His good pleasure? - or he that layeth his foundation on an undermined sand-cliff ready to crumble to pieces? and it doth crumble to pieces with him, into the fire of Hell. And Allah guideth not people that do wrong.
surah altawbah ayah108 and 109
AlAqsa was built in the khilafah of Omar Ibn AlKhattab and AlNamera mosque in arafah will research it and get back with the answer in shaa Allah

Masjid Alnamera was built during the Saudi reign, and it was built at the site of the place that the prophet saaws prayed the Dhuhr and ASr jamei kasr on the day of Arafah and gave his khutbat AlBalagh. So the current building is less than one hundred years old.

as for the tribes that apostasized from Islam at the time of the prophet's life they are as AlBAyhaqi mentioned in his sunan : the first to apostasize of the arabs Musailama of Bani Hanifa of the yamamah and AlAswad Ibn Ka3b Ala3nzi of yemen and this was while the prophet saaws was still alive. Taliha Ibn Khuwailid Alasdi of bani Asad anounced that he was a prophet and started saying poetry:rolleyes:
After the death of the prophet saaws Ibn Udi in the Kamil said: the prophet died and the army had not set out yet, and then the arabs apostasized either publicly or privately some from each tribe hypocrisy appeared amongst the people and the Jews and Christians raised their heads in pleasure, and the Muslims were like sheep on a rainy night from the loss of their prophet and their scantiness and the increasing size of their enemies
Ibn Khaldoun said: the arabs apostasized either as whole tribes or groups of the tribe, and it was said that all the arabs had apostasized except for Quraish and Thaqif Musailama joined forces with Taei and Usd and Ghatfan and Hawazan stopped the zakah.
And a group of the tribe of Bani selim apostasized so did other peoples.
And if you check the sirah books you will find more information

Supplication for travel
Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. How perfect He is, The One Who has placed this [transport] at our service and we ourselves would have not been capable of that, and to our Lord is our final destiny. O Allah, we ask You for birr and taqwa1 in this journey of ours, and we ask You for deeds which please You. O Allah, facilitate our journey and let us cover its distance quickly. O Allah, You are The Companion in the journey and The Successor over the family, O Allah, I take refuge with You from the difficulties of travel, from having a change of hearts and being in a bad predicament, I take refuge in You from ill-fated outcome with wealth and family
[1 Birr and Taqwa: Two comprehensive terms which individually refer to all good actions and obedience, i.e., performing the commanded actions and avoiding the prohibited actions. When combined together, birr refers to doing those actions which have been commanded, and taqwa refers to avoiding those actions which have been prohibited]

# Before sleeping
In Your name my Lord I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.
O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take its life, to You belong its life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant me good health.
O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected. (three times)
In Your name O Allah, I die and live.
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted throne. our Lord and Lord of all things, Splitter of the seed and the date stone, Revealer of the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran, I take refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock1. O Allah, You are The First so there is nothing before You and You are The Last so there is nothing after You. You are az-Zahir2 so there is nothing above You and You are al-Batin3 so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty.
[1 i.e. You have total mastery over.]
[2 Az-Zahir indicates the greatness of His attributes and the insignificance of every single creation in respect to His greatness and Highness, for He is above all of His creation as regards His essence and attributes.]
[3 Al-Batin indicates His awareness and knowledge of all secrets, of that which is in the hearts and the most intimate of things jist as it indicates His closeness and nearness to all in a manner which befits His majesty.]
All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.
O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk1 of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.
[1 Shirk is to associate others with Allah in those things which are specific to Him.]
O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor save haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.
# When turning over during the night
None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, The One, al-Qahhar1. Lord of the heavens and the earth and all between them, The Exalted in Might, The Oft-Forgiving.
[1 al-Qahhar: The One Who subdued all of creation and Whom all of the creation are subservient to. All movements occur by His well.]
# Upon experiencing unrest, fear, and the like during sleep
I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the madness and appearance of devils
# When waking up
All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.
None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without any partner, to him belong sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things wholly capable. How perfect Allah is, and all praise is for Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Allah is the greatest and there is no power nor might except with Allah, The Most High, The Supreme, O my Lord forgive me.
[Whoever says this will be forgiven. If he then supplicates he will be answered. If he rises, performs ablution and prayes, his prayer will be accepted.]
All praise is for Allah who restored to me my health and returned my soul and has allowed me to remember Him.

eighth year hijrah,
it was the battle that killed ZAyd Ibn Harithah, and Jaafar ibn AbdelMutalib, and AbdelAllah Ibn Rawahah, it was the fight with the Romans, on the boundaries of the shaam, the people of that area had made a conspiracy with the Romans, and the Muslims were once again in danger.
This is the time when Jafar:inlove: held the green flag of Islam and sang
" يا حبذا الجنة واقترابها طيبة وبارد شرابها
والروم روم قد دنا عذائها كافرة بعيدة أنسابها"
the prophet saaws when e heard of the death of sayedi JAfar Ibn Abi Taaleb wept and that was when Asmaa Bint Omais Jaafar's wfe realised she had become a widow, Jaafar was gven wings in place of his arms in heaven.
Jumada aluwlaa of that year equal to september 629 AD, mutah is a village on the boundaries of Syria(Alshaam then) The prophet had sent AlHarith bin Umair ALAzdi on an errand to carry a letter to the ruler of BAsra on his way he was intercepted by sharahbeel bin Amr AlGhassan the governer of AlBAlqaa and a close ally to Caesar the Byzantine emperor AlHarith was ted and beheaded by ALGhasaani this was a most aweful crime and a declaration of war, no body killed envoys at that time and the prophet saaws ordered an army of 3000 men they fought an army of 200 000 men.
I shant say the conclusion cos everyone should take out that raheeq makhtoum that's just lying there on the shelf and find out for themelves :D

Spatial Demarcation for the people of Makkah is
To take Ihram at Dhul Hulyfah
To take Ihram at Tanieem Mosque
To take Ihram at his residence.
awwabah

I don't know what spatial demarcation is???
the ihram for mecca is from their homes
if you're a stranger in Mecca then you do ihram in the tane'eem Mosque
OK now here's some really interesting info on Taneem mosque:
It is also known as Masjid umm almumineen or masjid Aishah because sayeda Aisha did ihram there for umrah when the messenger told her to do so during the farewell pilgrimage.
The mosque is 7.5 km from almasjid alharam on the road from Mecca to Medina this is known as Tareeq AlHijrah
there are five places for Miqaat:
1. Dhul Hulaifah -for the people of Medina
2. AlJuhfah -for the people of Syria
3. Qarn AlManazil for the people of Najd
4. Yalamlam for the people of Yemen
5. Dhat Irq for the people of Iraq
Dhul Hulaifah is in a place called Abyar Ali, and in shaa Allah I will when I find my old photos post a pic of it somewhere, it looks like a lighthouse a bit and it's all lit up like the Masjid Alrasoul so you can see it from far away, it's beautiful:inlove:

OK it may have been hard
Zulbijadain is a companion of the prophet saaws
here's the tale:
ZULBIJADAIN ( OF THE TWO SACK
CLOTHS)
His name was Abdullah ZulBijadain RA though he was born as
AbdAluzza ibn Abd Alnaham Ibn Afif
He was orphaned very young and his father had been poor
and left him nothing at all. His uncle was a rich man and
he adopted Abdullah on his father’s death and showered his
wealth upon his nephew.
Abdullah’s curiosity was what brought this story to being.
He loved to ride alone at times and he would take his
horse out of Meccan boundaries to roam the surrounding
area and hunt. So it was no great surprise that he began
to notice the strange immigration of the Meccan Muslims.
One by one quietly, so as to not to attract attention, the
poor beleaguered Muslims in Mecca had been given
permission to migrate to Medina.
He watched for some time then overcome with curiosity he
stopped one of the companions of the prophet.
He asked where he was going and the companion even at this
time when he was escaping with his life did not lose the
opportunity to spread the dawa that is the heritage of all
Muslims.
He spoke to him of Islam and told him that he was a
follower of the religion of Mohamed pbu.
Mohamed, who had come as a light to guide the people; from
the worship of stones and idols, to the worship of the
Lord of the entire Universe.
Abdullah walked with this companion until it was no longer
possible to continue and he turned his steps back towards
Mecca before any would miss him.
But a new routine started for the young man, he went out
early and would wait outside the borders of Mecca and
meeting the fleeing Muslims would ask about the religion
of Mohamed.
For three years he hid his religion from his uncle, in the
hope that perhaps his uncle would, hearing the words of
truth also accept Islam.
After three years he went to his uncle and said: I have
waited patiently uncle in the hope that you would accept
Islam, will you not turn your back now on the worship of
ignorance and idols and return to the worship of Allah?
They have beaten us the Muslims to Medina, come my uncle
will you not join me and go to the Prophet of Allah?
His uncle was angered “So! This is how I am finally
rewarded. If you follow Mohamed you will follow him as I
took you in- with nothing of my wealth even your clothes I
will rip off your back!
His mother took a sack cloth and ripped it in two and
handed it to Abdullah and he wrapped one half around his
loins and the other about his shoulders and bare foot he
walked the 450 kilometers from Mecca to Medina.
We do not know how he fared on this rough journey, Ali Ibn
Abi Talib took the journey in three days but this young
man Zulbijadain (of the two sack cloths) had left his
kaffir name behind him in Mecca, he was zulbidajain and as
such he, wearied of travel put his head down to rest near
the mosque at mount buriqaan (a mountain to the right of
those who travel from Medina to Mecca).
The Prophet of Allah passing by in the morning saw the
youth wrapped in the sack cloths and asked him who he was
and on knowing his name he said “no you are Abdullah
Zulbijadain. Come you will be my neighbor.”
Abdullah stayed close to the Prophet Mohamed PBU learning
the Quraan until he was of those who knew by heart most of
the Quraan.
Then came the battle of Tabuk and preparing to leave for
battle Abdullah approached the Prophet and said to him “
Oh Prophet of Allah pray for me that I die a martyr”
The Prophet prayed and said “ Oh Allah keep his blood safe
from the Kuffar.”
Hearing this Abdullah protested and said “but this is not
what I want.”
And the Prophet of Allah answered “If you go forward
towards battle and grow feverish and die of this fever
know that you will have died a martyr, and if you go
forward to battle and are overthrown by your mount and
die, know that you die a martyr.”
The Muslims departed towards Tabuk and it was not many
days there that Abdullah Zulbijadain came down with fever
and died.
He died in the night and the Prophet himself and his two
close friends helped to dig the grave.
Bilal ibn Alhareth said that he awoke to the light of a
camp fire and there beside it was Bilal ibn Rabah.
The Prophet was inside the already dug grave and he lifted
his hands and said to Abi Bakr Alsiddiq and Omar IBn
Alkhattab “Hand down your brother to me.”
And with his own hands the Prophet PBU prepared and
directed the body that it faced the Qibla.
Then he came out of the grave and left the two companions
to cover the grave.
After Abdullah Zulbijadain had been buried, the Prophet
PBU raised his hands and said “Oh Allah I have left this
evening pleased with him, so Be pleased with him.”
Narrated by Abi Wael that Abdullah said he heard the
Prophet make duaa at dead of night near the grave of
Abdullah Zulbijadain and hearing the duaa he wished that
it was he and not Zulbijadain who was in the grave though
he had preceded him by fifteen years to Islam.

so frankly no way do I believe any jew is going to bewitch the prophet, if you meant something else then I don't know the answer, or probably there is no answer the prophet never had a magician.

ruqayah bint mohamed as
Ok for the info, both the daughters of prophet Mohamed saaws were married by paper (katb kitaab) to the sons of Abu Lahab, when Islam was declared he divorced his sons from the daughters of the prophet and in a very rude way. That was when sayedna Uthman Ibn Afan married sayeda Ruqayah and when the trials of the Muslims became too much they went on the first emigration to abbysinnia -sp( can't spell the word) ethiopia anyway, it was subhaan Allah a great and very intelligent thing that the prophet did. here he was sending his people most of whom were amongst the poor to a foreign country who's king was not a Muslim -would they be killed was he getting rid of them? Oh no! He sends with the poor someone to protect them, a rich nobleman from Mecca and his own beloved daughter, so whoever of those emigrants had some doubt about journeying their troubles were allayed. Sayeda Um kalthoum remained unmarried until her sister died when the prophet married her to the man whom the angels were abashed from alhayiy the modest Uthman ibn Afan raa

OK, this is my fav type of question-the story of the prophet saaws
100 camels
Now the tale of Suraaqah bin Malek:
When Quraish declared that whoever captured the prophet Mohamed would get 100 camels-a fortune many tried their luck, one of these was Suraaqah ibn Malik when he reached the prophet saaws and sayedi Abu Bakr raa his horse kept stumbling, and he couldnt get too close, finally he realised that it was Allah that prevented him from getting closer her became a Muslim and he returned and wouldnt tell the Kaffir Meccans. The prophet promised him the bracelets of Kisraa and it was when Omar became Khalifah that the persians were conquered and the bracelets of Kisraa came into the hands of Omar Ibn Alkhattab and then he called for Suraqah before all the people out of the crowds of people an old man came out and went forward and wept, remembering two men fleeing from Mecca one of whom had a price on his head, and that man may Allah sali wa salim 3alayhi daiman abada (pbuh forever) promised him the bracelets of one of the greatest powers at that time, and his promise came into being.

If a person sells 30 pounds of good dates for 20 pounds of a better grade date
1- the transaction is valid
2- the transaction is not valid because the deal involves usury
3- the transaction is valid up to 20 pounds
awwabah
15-11-06, 06:33 PM
A. OK let me try to understand, trick question? He is bartering thirty pounds worth of good dates for twenty pounds worth of better dates.
or did you mean pounds as in ratl in arabic the measurement? as in 30pds of one type of date for 20pds of a better type
in the first instant he is losing money but it's not usury, we can't force him to take what he should if he doesn't want to, like the tabi3ee who used to sell for less than a cloth was worth to help his students and the poor people, and Allah used to bring him better trade for his hidden charity.
in the second instant maybe 30 pounds or kilos of one type would be worth the same price as 20 pounds or kilos of the other? so I'd say the answer is it's a valid transaction.
=======================
the other examples you bring up:
B. say he had thirty pounds worth of dates, and he sold them to someone and took from that person money by degrees and took extra money if the buyer delayed paying by a certain date, or he took extra money in percentages for every year passing that the buyer delays payment. That's usury is that right? Actually that's the prob I faced when I thought of buying a new car, they said that the banks all deal in usury and that taking a percentage of extra money over and above the installments is usury so here I am wth no new car:( but it's better than burning in hell:D
C. in the last instant, who decides the price? If someone buys twenty pounds worth of dates and wants to sell them for thirty pounds it's valid.
:embar: did that make sense??

The question is very clear
It does not accept more than of one meaning. .
pounds as ratl in weights.
Basicallythe question is taken completely from sunah.
.The correct answer is :the transaction is not valid because the deal involves usury
