Chat Room Rules and Regulations:

As this is an Islamic Chatroom standards of normal and Islamic behavior are expected. In order for this to be implemented this chat room hold various rules and regulations which must be obeyed. Anyone found breaching these rules will be subject to disconnection or warned by co-admins.


Code of Conduct
As part of Ummah.com commitment to making the Chat room a great place to meet and interact with others muslims and non muslim around the world as well as sharing valuable Islamic knowledge in order for others to benefit from, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct. Your agreement ensures a positive and Islamic experience for all our users. You are entirely responsible and liable for all activities conducted when using the Chat. Here is a list of some of the violations which may result in being disconnected from using Visit ummah.com Chat. 

General rules and Regulations.
  • We encourage everyone to treat each other with mutual respect. Do not use the chat room as a mean to threaten, harass, stalk, abuse, embarrass or cause distress or discomfort to others participating in the Chat.
  • Refrain from all expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity.
  • Co-admin at all times reserve the right to disconnect any user whom he/she feels that the user has breached any of the rules.
  • Falsely impersonating any co-admins or other users with the intent to mislead or cause harm to others is Prohibited.
  • Use of Bad language is Prohibited and swearing is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of unacceptable or inappropriate names is prohibited.
  • Refrain from using capital letters as this signifies a means of shouting and can also distract other users.
  • Flooding the Chat room is prohibited as it can cause harm to other users.
  • Cyber sex is completely prohibited, any user found breaching this will be Permanently ban from the chat room
  • Do not target individuals as reference to their age / religion or race, as we do accept users from all minorities to come in the chat room, please treat them with respect and dignity.
  • Never give your last name to anyone or any personal details to anyone
  • Never give your address, city or telephone number.
  • Never give the name of your school, work place or organisation to anyone
  • Never agree to meet someone in person that you meet on the Internet.
  • The Internet can be fun, but there are predators pretending to be friends who want to hurt you. Please be extra aware of this.
  • Refrain from Screaming in the room using expressions such as "salaaaaaaam" this is liable to a warning offence
  • Racism towards other people / faith / religions will NOT be tolerated in this chat room this can lead to being dismissed from the chat room.
  • Private Messaging admins that appear in GREEN with the intent of provoking or annoying the admins will result in a booting

We do realise the nature of the internet can be as such where you will come across people whose only intention is to cause harm and grief to other users, we therefore expect people as such to enter the chat room to cause harm to others, inshallah we wish to have the room as moderated as best as we can, to avoid users as such.

In some cases users whose behaiviour is on a high scale of danger it will be necessary to ban them permanently by banning their server. if unfortunately you happened to share the same server as the person whom we originally banned then please write to us where we will then take the necessary steps and take actions.

By abiding to these rules and regulations we can all ensure a positive Islamic environment for all users.
