Update Nov/Dec 2002:
A very early beta version has now been released, which is currently being extensively tested. Unfortunately the project may be taking a little longer than anticipated. We have received 1000s of requests showing interest, of which we wish to thank all for their support and patience. One of the reasons for the long delays in release is the scope of the project. It is currently far far more advanced than what is first thought to be in terms of features and content. To date, the project is approx. five times bigger than the first draft plan just over two years ago. At the time being, we are having to make hard decisions to cut down a number of plans and try and make an early release rather than a late one with more features. To Launch the first Quran on DVD. The first major Islamic software product to be released on the DVD-ROM age.

Featuring 7 full Quranic recitations with the quality you expect from DVD. Along with translations and Arabic scripts, and a whole library of Quranic articles as well as complete Hadith books. Seven quality Quranic recitations in a single DVD-ROM, which is equivalent to over 300 hours of quality audio. Which is around 200 cassettes or Audio CDs. Quran on DVD uses advanced technologies and new methods of compressions, to give quality recitations which have not been possible before.

Buying the Quranic recitations separately on cassettes or Audio CDs would cost in the range of $500 to $1000. This is all included on the QuranOnDvD with the speed of quickly accessing any surah/ayah, and a whole range of other features including Multimedia, Quranic Fiqh etc.

This project is not just about having hours and hours of Quranic audio to listen to. It goes far beyond that. It incorporates extensive cross referencing techniques, matching any related information found in any part of the program with each other. This enriches accessibility of information, making it extremely effective.

We aim to make this product available at an excellent competitive price of only $49.99. (£34.99) - or lower. We believe that higher prices are not justifiable.
